Debate:

Opening Statement: Hello everyone, today we’re talking about notebooks should be done away with
and students should use electronic devices instead .Electronic note-taking is super useful because it's
easy to reach, keeps things organized, helps us work together, and is good for the planet. So we
affirmative team believe that statement is true.

Our first speaker spoke to you about electronic notes are super easy to get to and carry around. You
can have them on your phone, tablet, laptop, or in the cloud. That means you can check your notes
wherever you are, without worrying about leaving your notebooks behind. It's like having all your
notes in your pocket or on any device you use, making them super handy and always available when
you need them.

Our second speaker told you that we can work together on notes in real-time with gadgets. Sharing
and editing is easy, making teamwork smooth. It's perfect for school or work projects.Even though
gadgets have their environmental concerns, using less paper helps save trees. Going digital with
notes reduces waste and is a step towards helping the planet.

Closing Statement: In the end, electronic note-taking is easy to access, keeps us organized, helps us
work together, and is better for the environment. Using gadgets for notes is the smart choice in
today's digital world.

Against:
Handwritten notes lack the accessibility and organization capabilities of electronic note-taking. With
electronic note-taking, notes can be accessed across multiple devices, easily organized, and quickly
searched using tags and keywords, providing a more efficient and structured approach to note-
taking.

Handwritten notes limit collaboration and sharing compared to electronic notes. Electronic note-
taking allows for real-time collaboration, enabling multiple users to access, edit, and share notes
seamlessly, fostering teamwork and enhancing communication.

While handwritten notes may seem environmentally friendly due to using paper, they contribute to
deforestation and require proper disposal methods. Electronic note-taking, on the other hand,
reduces paper consumption and supports digital storage, aligning with sustainable practices and
reducing environmental impact.

Handwritten notes, while allowing for creativity and personalization, lack the adaptability and
innovation offered by electronic note-taking tools. Electronic notes enable the integration of
multimedia, diverse formats, and innovative features that enhance note-taking experiences and
learning outcomes.

While prolonged screen time on electronic devices is often associated with potential harm to eyes
and health, responsible usage practices significantly mitigate these risks. Taking regular breaks,
adjusting screen settings, maintaining a proper distance, and practicing moderation diminishes the
negative impact of screens on eyes and overall health. When used conscientiously, electronic devices
can be used safely without causing significant harm.

Not all electronic devices are expensive! Some are pricey, but there are plenty of options at different
prices. You can find affordable tablets, basic laptops, or even used devices that work well for taking
notes. Also, sometimes you can get discounts or pay in installments, making them more budget-
friendly. Even though they might seem costly at first, electronic devices can do lots of things beyond
note-taking, making them a useful investment for different needs and not just an expense.
