Give the brief history of ballroom specially the dance cha cha cha
 The term “ballroom dancing” is derived from the word ball which in turn originates
from the Latin word Ballare which means ‘to dance’ (a ball-room being a large
roon specially designed for such dances). In times past, ballroom dancing was
social dancing for the privileged, leaving folk dancing for the lower classes.
 The Cha–cha–cha also called cha-cha is a dance originally from Cuban. It is
danced to the music of the same name introduced by Cuban composer and
violinist Enrique Jorrin in the early 1950s. This rhythm was developed from the
danzon-mambo. The name of the dance is an onomatopoeia derived from the
shuffling sound of the dances’ feet when they dance two consecutive quick steps
(correctly, on the fourth count of each measure) that characterize the dance.
2. Identify the different patterns or variation of the dance
The downbeat in cha-cha music occurs on count 1, or the first beat of each four-
beat measure, while the break step occurs on counts 2, 3. ... A common way to
count the cha-cha rhythmic step pattern starts with the break step as follows: 2,
3, 4, &-1. The basic patter of cha-cha-cha is usually the man is taking lead and
checked forward step with the left foot, retaining some weight on the right foot.
The knee of the right leg must stay bent and close to the back of the left knee,
the left leg having straightened just prior to receiving part weight.

3 Perform the cha cha cha with tje grace and poise

4 How will you do or what kind of strategy that you can think in order to dance the cha-
cha-cha during this time of pandemic?
For me how I will dance the cha-cha-cha in this kind of pandemic? I will use the
modern technology to able to dance the cha-cha-cha. I will go to the YouTube to able to
know how to dance the cha-cha-cha and after practicing it I will record myself and i will
share it to my friends and I will encourage them to dance it too so the cha-cha-cha will
not be forgotten and thru dancing it will help our body to be fit

5. Why is it important to have a connection with the partner while dancing?

Because if you don’t have a connection with your partner you cannot perform the
dance gracefully and both of you will commit mistake while dancing or performing it. It’s
better to have the connection with your partner because if you both have a connection
both of your emotion will connect and the rhythm of your body will collided.
