 PREFACE

Being a student of MBA, studying in “Vidyabharti Trust College of Master in Computer

Application (MBA Program)”. I am very pleased to disclose the report on“A Study On
Mergers And Acquisitions In Telecom Industry With Reference To Vodafone And Idea”.
In bide to be a successful business administrator. The knowledge of theory and practice of
managerial elements is necessary. This Project Report study fills the gap between theory and
what I learn in the college and this Project report study provides me the practical knowledge
about the business management. Hence, This Project report study is the only way out for the
students of management to learn these aspects of the ideal thought of management and its
application in the business.

 EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

The merger of Vodafone and Idea Cellular will be watched keenly by management guts the
world over. It is not often that an Indian company and the subsidiary of a multinational
corporation agree to come together. Both are large organisations with distinct cultures. It will
be interesting to see how the merged entity will integrate the two cultures. It has a challenge
on its hands -- studies suggest a majority of mergers fail in this crucial aspect

In this project my objectives to know the investment of people perception of people which is
different of all people for the right investment. Secondly my objective is to know the awareness
about mutual fund& ULIPs, as per investors view.
In my research methodology I have used descriptive research design because I wanted to collect
the information about the respondent's characteristics &their investment behaviour by
conducting the survey activity in which I have selected 120 sample sizes.
