-questions
what example are there of how we damage the natural world? -
what happens when we remove forests? – we lose the oxygen we get from the thousands of trees
that are in a forest, animals lose their habitats and the food chain falls over
what things individuals can do to help the environment? – collect plastic, buy products from local
producers, shop conscious-only buy products we really need and we’re going to eat, only go by car
when it is necessary, use public transport, cycle or walk
what can governments do to help the environment? – plant trees in the centre of the cities,
why is it important to eat locally grown fruits and vegetables? – because they don’t contain (as
much) chemicals, the transportation of tropical and exotic fruits and vegetables is expensive.
what will happen if we keep polluting the environment? – the nature will get its revenge
which is more important, increasing people’s standard of living or protecting the environment? -
protecting: because if we don’t protect the environment then we won’t have the chance to increase
anybody’s standard of living.
in what ways is energy wasted? – when we leave the lights on when it’s not needed or don’t unplug
our chargers when we don’t use them. “I never leave my devices on the chargers at night so when
they’re charged, I don’t waste energy”
are you worried about global warming? – a little bit, I don’t want to have kid because I don’t want
them to grow up in a dying world
do you think overpopulation is an environmental issue? Why? – yes, more people the more
resources we need (energy, food, products etc.)
do you think cars should be banned from city centres? – maybe, there are lot of capital cities and
other big cities where cars are banned. People get used to it and they can work it out eventually. Yes,
it would be bad for those who live there cause they couldn’t get close to their homes, couldn’t park
there…
do you think petrol should be more expensive? -some say that petrol should be more expensive,
maybe then less people would travel by car and that would be amazing for the environment
do you agree with the restrictions on single-use plastic products? – I 100% (hundred percent) agree.
In my opinion single-use plastic should have never been a thing. Obviously I also understand why
companies, fast food restaurants
