REPORT ON “THINK! TALK!

TREAT MIGRAINE”

Sarojini Naidu Vanita Pharmacy Maha Vidyalaya, College for Women, (Sponsored by The Exhibition
Society) has organized a seminar on the topic “THINK! TALK! TREAT MIGRAINE” on 13th April,
2023 at 3:00 PM. The Guest Speaker for the seminar was Dr. VIKRAM KISHORE REDDY. P , DNB
(Peadiatric),DNB (Neurology) , Consultant Neurologist , Medicover Hospital , Hi-tech City , Hyderabad.

The number of participants attended was about 200 in auditorium.

The programme started at 3:00 PM.

Ms. Shruti started the program and invited all the dignitaries onto the dais. Floral Greetings to the Guest
were offered by Harsha. Prayer song was sung by Shivani and Rakshitha.

Principal Dr. T. Saritha Jyostna., SNVPMV, addressed the session by giving a note on Migraine and
cordially welcomed the speaker of the seminar, Dr.VIKRAM KISHORE REDDY P.

Dr. T. Venu, HOD of Pharm D addressed the gathering.

Migraine is a type of headache. It may occur with symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, or sensitivity to
light and sound. In most people, a throbbing pain is felt only on one side of the head.

A migraine headache is caused by abnormal brain activity. This activity can be triggered by many things.
But the exact chain of events remains unclear. Most medical experts believe the attack begins in the brain
and involves nerve pathways and chemicals. The changes affect blood flow in the brain and surrounding
tissues.

Dr. Vikram Kishore Reddy P addressed the gathering by primarily throwing light on the root causes of
headache. Its types like primary headache and secondary headache and identifying red flags for secondary
headache. Sir also discussed about how Migraine gets triggered, its most common symptoms and its
impact on day to day life. Sir briefly discussed about the treatment regiments and preventive therapies.

Vice Principal Dr. T. Mamatha coveyed vote of thanks, by thanking the guest speaker foe providing
valuable inputs about Migraine and all the participants for making the seminar successful.

Session was closed at 4:20 PM by singing National Anthem.
