The 2nd International Conference on Handling Non-Comunicable Disease, Poltekkes Kemenkes Semarang

1. Saturday On our day we held a zoom meeting with the head of the Midwifery Applied Master Program.
22 -08-2020 Dr. Sri Sumarni will give us a briefing on international conference activities which will be held on September
2-3, 2020. After giving a briefing, she will evaluate the way of writing, methods, grammar and which needs
to be added in writing in our manuscript so that we can correct the manuscript that we will submit as a
requirement to become a presenter at the international conference. Her review really helped us in making a
good manuscript and we are grateful for the help from Dr. Sri Sumarni

3. Tuesday I registered for an international conference on 27 August 2020. I registered as a presenter and did a
01-09- 2020 journal submittance as a requirement to take an oral presentation. Today I received an email reply from the
international conference organizer, I received an invitation as a presenter at the international conference
which will be held on September 2-3 2020. I was very surprised to be selected as a presenter. This is the first
time I will attend an international conference as a presenter After that I prepared material for the oral
presentation which I will follow tomorrow because I will attend the oral presentation on the first day in room
one.
4. Wednesday Today's international conference is the second international conference held by Poltekkes Semarang,
2 -09-2020 which will be held for 2 days virtually due to the Covid 19 Pandemic. The first day of the international
conference began at 08.00 WIB which was the first welcoming ceremony by Director Poltekkes Semarang
Dr. Marsum, BE, S.Pd M.Pd, and the chairman of the conference Dr. Rr. Sri Endang Pujiastuti, SKM, MNS.
This was followed by presentation of the material international conference which was attended by speakers
from several foreign institutions, institutions from Indonesia and health institutions. The first speaker, Prof.
Naoyuki Kobuta from the Faculty of System Design, Tokyo Metropolitan University, Japan about Exercise
support system with Robort Partner Best in Felling of Self of Efficiency. The second speaker was Asst. Prof.
Dr. Napapong Pongnapang from the Department of Radiological Technology, Mahidol University, Thailand
about Radiology Technologyi Global Health for Covid-19 Pandemic. The third speaker Prof. Sang Arum,
PHD from Prince Songkla University, Thailand about Promotion of Health Status Among Non
Comunnicable Disease Patient in Covid 19 Pandemic, followed by discussion and submission of certificate
appreciation to the three presenters in the first session.
Then proceed with the presentation of the fourth speaker, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Nur, DEA from the
Center for Plasma Research, Diponegoro University, Indonesia about the Possibility Application of plasma
ozone technology on Handling Non-communicable Disease during Covid 19 Pandemic. The fifth speaker,
Prof. Dr.dr. Anies, M.Kes, PKK from Diponegoro University, Indonesia about Preventing and controlling of
Non-Communicable Disease. The last speaker on the first day of Prof. Pooh Bee Kon from the National
University of Malaysia about Nutrition for Preventing and Recovery Among Non-Communicable Disease
Patients during Covid 19 Pandemic and continued with discussion and submission of certificate appreciation
to the three speakers in the second session.
After presentation of the material, it was continued with an oral presentation which was held at 13.30-
16.00 WIB. During the oral presentation, it was divided into two rooms consisting of 15 presenters in each
room and the presenter was given 10 minutes to deliver the presentation material. I had the opportunity to
have an oral presentation on the first day of room one serial number seven. I presented my research with the
title The Effect of Fe tablet and Ambon Banana Towards Hemoglobin Levels on Anemia Female Teenagers
at Dormitory of Midwifery Poltekkes Kemenkes Pontianak. This is my first experience of presenting at an
international conference and I am very grateful to have the opportunity to become an oral presentation. At
16.00 WIB the first day of the international conference was finished and will be resumed tomorrow.
5. Thursday Today is the second day of the international conference starting at 08.00 WIB and will be attended by
03-09-2020 six presenters. The first event was the opening on the second day by the Moderator, namely Dr. Arwani,
SKM.MN then continued with the presentation of the material which will be held in two sessions. The first
speaker is Dr. Emily Rose Smith from George Washington University, USA about Maternal and Child Health
in covid 19 Pandemic. The second Speaker is Prof. Dr. dr. Suharyo Hadisaputro, Sp.PD, KPTI from the
Health Polytechnic of the Ministry of Health Semarang, Indonesia about Risks Factors and Comorbidity
among Non-Communicable Disease Patients during Covid 19 Pandemic. The third speaker is Dr. Maria Neira
from WHO Geneva about Preventing Non-Communicable Disease by Reducing Environmental Risks
Factors. then continued with a discussion and submission of certificate appreciation to the three presenters in
the first session.
Then proceed with the presentation of the fourth speaker Prof. Dr.drg. Diyah Fatmasari, MD.Sc from
the Health Polytechnic of the Ministry of Health Semarang about Dental Care Services in the New Normal
era. The fifth speaker, Dr. Rr. Sri Endang Pujiastuti, SKM, MNS from the Health Polytechnic of the Ministry
of Health Semarang, Indonesia about Nursing Education to lead Non-Communicable Disease during Covid
19 Pandemic. The last speaker on the second day of Dr. Runjati, M.Mid from the Health Polytechnic of the
Ministry of Health, Semarang, Indonesia about Expose the College Quality Through the Center of Excellent
Development and continued discussion and submission of certificate appreciation to the three second session
speakers.
After presentation of the material, it was followed by oral presentation which was held at 12.00 - 15.00
WIB. On the second day, the international oral presentation conference will be divided into three rooms, each
of which consists of 20 presenters. Each presenter will be given 10 minutes to deliver presentation material. I
am very happy to be able to join this international conference here. I get a lot of knowledge about various
non-communicable diseases, their handling and how to prevent them. I am very grateful to be able to join the
international conference and can increase my knowledge. Then at 15.00 WIB the international conference
closed.

Online Short Course Training Thai Traditional Madicine in Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University

1. wednesday On this day we held a training on Thai Traditional Madicine which was held at Siriraj Hospital. This training
23-09-2020 will be held at 09.00 WIB for three days through a zoom meeting due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The first event
was the speech delivered by the Head of the Postgraduate Program Poltekkes Kemenkes Semarang, Prof. Dr. dr.
Suharyo Hadisaputro, Sp.PD, KPTI, head of the Midwifery Applied Master Program Dr. Sri Sumarni, Mid and
Siriraj Hospital practioner Dr. Sukree Kade. Then we were shown virtually Siriraj hospital which is the main
teaching hospital of the Mahidol University medical faculty. Siriraj hospital focuses on traditional treatments such
as traditional thai massage, herbal medicin, postpartum care treatment, namely hot herbal compress treatment, hot
salt-pot compress treatment, herbal steam bath treatment, hot herbal charcoal seat treatment, abdominal wrapping
treatment, herbal skin care and food for postpartum women and dhamanamay. Thai traditional medicine is a
government program in developing traditional medicine.
After a virtual tour of Siriraj Hospital, it was continued with the presentation of the matery by Dr.Anasaya
Teepappojanakun about basic Thai traditional medicine, which will discuss the four elements and causes of
disease. The explanation that will be conveyed is about the four elements, namely the earth element, the water
element, the fire element and the wind element, then the characteristics of each element, the relationship of the four
elements, the factors that affect the element and the factors that can cause disease. After presentation the first
material we had the opportunity to ask questions so that it increased our knowledge about the four elements. The
second matery will be taught by Dr. Natacha Ziangchin who will discuss nine medicine tastes of herbal medicine.
Nine medicine tastes of herbal medicine, namely astringent taste/dry taste, sweet taste, nutty/oily taste, nauseating
taste, bitter taste, penguent/hot taste, gentle/fragrant taste, salty taste, sour taste and structure of herbal medicine
recipe. After the second material we were divided into four groups discussion to be introduced to some herbal
plants by the practioner, in this four group discussion we know more about herbal plants, then we did kahoot games
as an evaluation of the material that was given today. Kahoot games are very exciting games and can help us
evaluate the knowledge of the material that has be taught by practitioners. At 16.00 WIB the training day was over
and will be continued tomorrow.
2. Thursday At 09.00 WIB we conducted the second day of training. The material that will be tought today is about Thai
24-09- 2020 traditional massage and Postpartum care treatment. For today's first material which is about Thai Traditional
massage which will be explained by Dr. Sukree Kade. This traditional Thai massage was first taught by Ajarn
Norangsak Boonratanahiran from 1982. This traditional Thai massage is a massage that is performed using the
thumb, fingers and palms of the massage. The benefits of this traditional thai massage is a massage that can help
stimulate blood circulation, lymphatics and the nervous system selin, this massage can also help stimulate muscles
and heal and relieve diseases caused by pain, stained or fatigued of various parts of the body. The presenters
immediately practice with us the massage line/point for basic massage, namely lines and points for basic massage
of the leg, lines and points for basic massage of the inner side of the arm, lines and points for basic massage of the
back, lines and points for massage of the outer side of the arm, lines and points for basic massage of the shoulder,
lines and points for basic massage of the neck. The basic massage will be done for 10-15 minutes and for the
massage of signal point it will be done for 30-45 minutes. For the first material finished at 12.00 WIB after the first
material was finished and then we rested, prayed and ate.
The second material starts at 13.00 WIB, the second material is about postpartum care treatment. Postpartum
care treatment is a variety of traditional treatments that will be performed on postpartum mothers. This method can
help the mother to increase uterine ovulation, accelerate the drying of suture wounds, refresh the skin of postpartum
mothers, etc. postpartum care treatment, namely massage treatment is a massage in the uterus that helps increase
uterine involution, hot herbal compress treatment is a compress made of herbal ingredients used to compress the
whole body, hot salt-pot compress treatment is a compress device that uses a salt container made from clay and
added with herbal plants that will be used on mothers after 7 days of normal delivery, herbal steam bath treatment
is a sauna for postpartum mothers which helps mothers feel comfortable. The ingredients used for the sauna are
herbal ingredients that will make the body feel good. Mother smells better, hot herbal charcoal seat treatment is an
herbal treatment that is used to help dry episiotomy wounds.The ingredients used are charcoal plus herbal
ingredients then done with steam techniques, abdominal wrapping treatment is a way to increase the involution of
the uterus by wrapping a cloth around the stomach, herbal skin care is a skin care for postpartum mothers that will
help brighten the skin of postpartum mothers and food for postpartum women, which explains the recommended
foods for pregnant women and foods that are dangerous for consumption by postpartum women. We are also taught
to make inhalers made from herbal ingredients. At 15.45 the event for the second day was finished and will be
continued tomorrow which is the last day of training.
3. Friday Today is the last day of training held by Siriraj Hospital, the event starts at 09.00 WIB. For the first material
25-09-2020 we were invited to take a walk around the Siriraj hospital yard virtually, Siriraj hospital is a hospital located in
Bangkok, Thailand. This hospital is a medical hospital of Mahidol University medical school. Siriraj hospital
develops various traditional medicines so that the hospital yard is surrounded by traditional plants which can
usually be used to cure various diseases. We were introduced to various herbal plants that grow around Siriraj
Hospital by practitioners. Then we were also invited to tour the Siriraj medical museum, which consists of five
medical museums, namely Ellis the pathological museum, Congdon anatomical museum, Sangvichien museum and
prehistoric laboratory, parasitology museum and Songkran Niyomsane forensic medicine museum with virtual.
These museums are learning meseums for medical sciences that will showcase a wide variety of medical problems,
herbal remedies, medical relics in ancient times etc. After that we were invited to play a quiz to guess the herbs that
had been introduced. At 11.30 we took a break to eat and pray.
At 13.00 we started training again. We were taught dhamanamay and invited to do it together. Dhamanamay
is a health promotion by carrying out exercises to help improve health, namely body health, mind health and
behaviour. Dhamanamay was first introduced by Prof. Dr. Ouay Ketusinh. Dhamanamay, which is taught about the
9-square step exercise, is an exercise that can keep us focused because during the exercise we are not allowed to
look at the table and we are not allowed to step on the lines on the table, we have to concentrate during the
exercise. Then we were invited to do a second exercise using the postures of the hermit doing body contortions.
This exercise will help the body become more comfortable, relieve headaches, and relieve stress etc. After being
explained about dhamanamay and doing dhamanamay together with virtual.
After that we were given 10 minutes to prepare for the posttest training. At 15.30 we finished doing the
posttest and continued with the closing of the training event by Head of the Midwifery Applied Master Program Dr.
Sri Sumarni, M, Mid, assistant two of the Postgraduate Program Poltekkes Kemenkes Semarang Dr. Melyana
Nurul Widyawati, M.Kes and Siriraj hospital practitioners Dr. Sukree Kade and team. This training helps us to
increase knowledge about traditional medicine, can help us to develop various traditional treatments and is very
useful for us.
