Recyclean: A Waste Segregation System for Sustainable Living using

Arduino

Abstract

Waste management is an important issue that calls for creative solutions in a time
when environmental sustainability is prioritized. To tackle modern waste issues, this
study investigates the "Smart Arduino Waste Segregation System," which combines
intelligent algorithms with Arduino microprocessors. The demand for new technology
arises from the fact that old methods are becoming unsuitable due to the increase in
global waste volumes. The technology seeks to revolutionize trash segregation,
supporting a greener way of living in the face of escalating environmental risks.

This investigation explores the design, operation, and possible influence of the system
on encouraging environmentally appropriate waste segregation methods. It
emphasizes how important innovation and technology are to solving the world's waste
problems and building a sustainable future. Sections highlight the importance of smart
Arduino waste segregation systems including IoT, Arduino microcontrollers,
advanced sensors, and machine learning. They also thoroughly evaluate the system's
components, performance, and potential to build a more responsible and sustainable
future.

The goals of the study are to build a waste segregation machine, offer
recommendations for implementation, support sustainable behaviors, and improve the
collection of recyclable materials. These objectives are characterized as clear,
quantifiable, feasible, dependable, and time bound. The report does, however, admit
several limitations, such as those related to technology and the system's reliance on a
dependable internet connection. Notwithstanding these difficulties, the Smart Arduino
Waste Segregation System presents a viable answer to the present problems with
waste management, opening the door to a more hygienic, sustainable, and healthy
living space.
