Since the midterm examination period is upon us, I want to take this opportunity to remind all
students that The Longo Faculty of Business takes academic integrity very seriously.

We are continuing to standardize and reinforce procedures to ensure that high ethical standards are
maintained during the examination period. Below you will find a summary of the expectations and
procedures that all students must follow:

• Students are to arrive on time at the examination room. Late arrivals will not be given
additional time to complete their examinations;
• No food is permitted in the examination room;
• For certain examinations, textbooks and other materials may be permitted in the examination
room. These shall be subject to inspection by the professor and/or invigilator;
• If a student is found in possession of examination aids or any materials not authorized for the
particular examination, this will be regarded as academic misconduct. The unauthorized item
will be seized, and a grade of zero will be assigned to the examination;
• Interaction or communication of any kind between students is not permitted during the
examination period. In the event that a student is identified as interacting or communicating
with another student during the examination period, a grade of zero will be assigned to the
examination;
• All electronic devices, handbags, backpacks, and coats are required to be left at the front of
the room. Do not bring valuable personal possessions to the examination room as Humber
College is not responsible for any personal property left in the classroom;
• During the examination period, the permission to bring beverages and to take washroom
breaks will be left to the discretion of the professor and/or invigilator; and,
• A Humber College issued photo ID or a government issued photo ID must be presented to the
professor upon request.
