Giving numbers

Giving numbers on telephone calls is important for conveying


information such as phone numbers, addresses, dates, and other
numerical details. When giving numbers, it's important to speak clearly
and slowly to ensure the listener can understand and note down the
information correctly.
EXAMPLES:
Here's a phone number:
0171 222 3344, and here's how to say it:
"Oh one seven one, triples two, double three, double four."
Or “Zero one seven one, triple two, double tree, double four”
0291 332 5077, and here’s how to say it:
“Oh two nine one, double three two, five oh double seven.”
Or “Zero two nine one, double three two, five zero double seven.”
EXAMPLES:
A: Hello, Sarah. Do you know Andy's A: May I know your phone number,
phone number? sir?
B: Yes. His phone number is B: Sure, my phone number is

SPELLING
Saying consonants
Saying Vowel Sounds: 'g' is pronounced like the 'j' in 'jeans'
‘a' is pronounced as in 'may' 'j' is pronounced as in 'DJ' or 'Jane'
'e' is pronounced as in 'email' or 'he' 'w' is pronounced 'double you'
'i' is pronounced as in 'I' or 'eye' 'x' is pronounced 'ex'
'o' is pronounced as in 'no' 'y' is pronounced 'why'
'u' is pronounced as 'you 'z' is pronounced 'zed' (rhymes with 'bed' in
British English), or 'zee' (rhymes with 'sea' in
American English).
