You have been chosen as a Municipal or District Chief Executive.

Write a
letter to pen friend in United Kingdom telling him/ her three things you intend
doing to help all the towns and villages to develop.
ADDRESS

Dear Scarlett,
I'm highly privileged to write to you this letter. I'm hundred percent sure that
you are fine and things are moving on smoothly. Remember the last time we spoke
on phone, l informed you of my intentions to aspire for the position of the District
Chief Executive. Fortunately, I have been selected by the President of this country
to occupy that position. Scarlett, since I resumed office, I have realised that, my
district has been facing inadequate developmental projects. As a result of this, I
would like to state some of the essential projects needed for the towns and villages
in my district to develop.
First and foremost, I would like to improve the educational standards in the
villages by making sure that competent and professional teachers teach students in
the government schools effectively in order to excel and get better grades. Also, I
will set up a well- equipped computer laboratory among schools in the villages and
towns in the district in order for them to get access to the internet. I will also
construct an ultra-modern library as well as provide uniforms and textbooks to the
students.
Moreover, I will also negotiate with the chief of Buoho to offer me a huge plot
of land to construct a modern market where traders, business men and women can
transact business. This will also reduce road traffic accidents for hawkers and
traders who sell along the street.
Last but not the least, there is a saying that, cleanliness is next to Godliness. I
will ensure proper sanitation by organising communal labour every Saturday. I
will also help to provide health facilities such as an ultra-modern hospital that will
save the lives of people. I will also build places of convenience where visitors or
people in the town can attend nature's call.
To conclude, I will construct police station because the officers maintain law
and order in the country. The police would also ensure that, the armed robbery
cases especially those in the towns decline.
My lovely Scarlett, I would entreat you to organise all the Ghanaian
community members in the UK to come to our aid and help the district improve in
most of these developmental projects.
Send my greetings to everyone especially Aunt Adelaide and Godfred.
