•Brake Shoe/Brake Drum

• BRAKE SHOE

* Fitted with brake linings (friction material)which

shoes or pads that press outward againts a
rotating cylinder shaped part called a brake
drum.

* Is a component of a hydraulic drum brake

system. It is located in each wheel and is usually
positioned at the top of the wheel, above the
shoes. Its function is to exert force onto the shoes
so as to bring them into contact with the drum and
stop the vehicle with friction.

*ANCHOR PLATE

*Which defines a backing plate for a drum brake

and guide rails for a caliper of a disc brake has a
flange with a keyhole having with an arcuate
length approximately equal to an axle retained in
the axle tube.

drum brake,who among you have an idea about shoes or pads that press outward against a
