Eucharistic Celebration of the Thanksgiving Mass of the

41st Founding Anniversary of SBCA

THE ORDER OF MASS

Commentator:
Good Morning my dear brothers and sisters in Christ. We are
gathered here in this Holy Bastion, to give thanks to our Heavenly Father,
our Creator and Savior, for another milestone in the Academic History of
SBCA, as we go on with the Celebration of our 41ST FOUNDING
ANNIVERSARY.

It is indeed worth remembering that we are ventured into a new

stage of life and formed according to the mission and vision of our
institution. The Lord also blessed us, with the opportunities, to grow in
different aspects and perspectives. WE, who stand up against the
challenges and hardships, has led us to strengthen our faith, enlightened
our minds, and open our hearts to overcome all difficulties and achieve this
wonderful victory. This day, let us especially remember and count God’s
blessings for each one of us.

And now we are gathered to praise God for these blessings and to
seek liturgical nourishment and guidance as we continue to do God’s work
in our world. We gathered to ask God’s blessings on all of those gifts and
achievements we had for the past 41 years of Service, ignited with the
blazing glory of a Bernadettian Spirit.

Families, friends, administration, faculty and staff, as one family

guided by the light which is Jesus Christ, journeying together with a
common goal let us raise our hearts to God in gratitude together, as we
offer this Holy Mass in Honor to the Feast day of Our Lady of Lourdes,
together with the intercession of St. Bernadette –our Patroness, and
through the Consecration of Sacred Heart of Jesus and Immaculate Heart of
Mary, as we begin our Eucharistic celebration.

Please all stand, as we welcome our mass presider Rev. Msgr. Tomas
T. Gonzalez.

The Liturgy of the Word

FIRST READING
First Kings 10: 1-10
4

Reader [Nevy S. Butaslac – Grade 7 Valor]

A reading from the 1st Book of Kings

And the queen of Saba, having; heard of the fame of Solomon in the name
of the Lord, came to try him with hard questions. And entering into
Jerusalem with a great train, and riches, and camels that carried spices, and
an immense quantity of gold, and precious stones, she came to king
Solomon, and spoke to him all that she had in her heart.

And when the queen of Saba saw all the wisdom of Solomon, and the
house which he had built, and the meat of his table, and the apartments of
his servants, and the order of his ministers, and their apparel, and the
cupbearers, and the holocausts, which he offered in the house of the Lord:
she had no longer any spirit in her, and she said to the king: The report is
true, which I heard in my own country, concerning thy words, and
concerning thy wisdom. And I did not believe them that told me, till I came
myself, and saw with my own eyes, and have found that the half hath not
been told me: thy wisdom and thy works, exceed the fame which I heard.

Blessed are thy men, and blessed are thy servants, who stand before thee
always, and hear thy wisdom. Blessed be the Lord thy God, whom thou
hast pleased, and who hath set thee upon the throne of Israel, because the
Lord hath loved Israel for ever, and hath appointed thee king, to do
judgment and justice.

And she gave the king a hundred and twenty talents of gold, and of spices
a very great store, and precious stones: there was brought no more such
abundance of spices as these which the queen of Saba gave to king
Solomon.

Reader: The word of the Lord.

People: Thanks be to God.

RESPONSORIAL PSALM
Psalms 37: 5-6, 30-31, 39-40

Reader : Ms. Jennette F. Cornejo [TVET Head]

Responsorial Psalm, Let our response be;

R. The mouth of the just murmurs wisdom.

Commit thy way to the Lord, and trust in him, and he will do it. And he will
bring forth thy justice as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday. [R]

R. The mouth of the just murmurs wisdom.

5

The mouth of the just shall meditate wisdom: and his tongue shall speak
judgment. The law of his God is in his heart, and his steps shall not be
supplanted. [R]

R. The mouth of the just murmurs wisdom.

But the salvation of the just is from the Lord, and he is their protector in the
time of trouble. And the Lord will help them and deliver them: and he will
rescue them from the wicked, and save them, because they have hoped in
him. [R]

R. The mouth of the just murmurs wisdom.

Priest: A Reading from the Holy Gospel According to St. Mark

Commentator: Glory to you, O, Lord

Mark 7: 14-23

And calling again the multitude unto him, he said to them: Hear ye me all,
and understand. There is nothing from without a man that entering into him,
can defile him. But the things which come from a man, those are they that
defile a man. If any man have ears to hear, let him hear.
And when he was come into the house from the multitude, his disciples asked
him the parable. And he saith to them: So are you also without knowledge?
understand you not that every thing from without, entering into a man cannot
defile him: Because it entereth not into his heart, but goeth into the belly, and
goeth out into the privy, purging all meats?
6

But he said that the things which come out from a man, they defile a man. For
from within out of the heart of men proceed evil thoughts, adulteries,
fornications, murders, Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit,
lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness. All these evil things
come from within, and defile a man.

THE PROFESSION OF FAITH:

Profession of Faith will depend upon the Instruction
of the Priest if the Celebration falls on weekdays /solemnities

I believe in one God, the Father almighty, maker of heaven and earth,
of all things visible and invisible. I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ,
the Only Begotten Son of God, born of the Father before all ages. God
from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, Begotten, not
made, consubstantial with the Father; through him all things were
made. For us men and for our salvation he came down from heaven,
and by the Holy Spirit was incarnate of the Virgin Mary, and became
man. For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate, he suffered
death and was buried, and rose again on the third day in accordance
with the Scriptures. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the
right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the
living and the dead and his kingdom will have no end. I believe in
the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the
Father and the Son, who with the Father and the Son is adored and
glorified, who has spoken through the prophets. I believe in one,
holy, catholic and apostolic Church. I confess one baptism for the
forgiveness of sins and I look forward to the resurrection of the dead
and the life of the world to come. Amen.
