Dear Parents/ Carers,

I hope that you and your family are keeping safe and well, as we settle into this new way of
life.

Having been in school for the last week or so, I thought I would provide you with some
information and updates:

 We currently have approximately 15-17 keyworker and/or vulnerable children

attending each day with staff, who are on a rota and offering an amended
programme of activities.
 For parents of children who are eligible for free school meals, food packages will
start being delivered to your home after Easter onwards. These will include
activities and recipes that you can use with your child. If you are struggling,
please email us and we will pass this information to the Local Authority, so that
they can offer support earlier.
 Parents of children with EHCPs. (Education, Health Care Plans) will be contacted
via email each week, so that we can continue to offer support for your child.
 We still have a large number of uncollected P.E bags and books in the main hall.
If you would like to come and collect your child’s belongings, please ring the
school to arrange a time between 9am-3pm, this week.
 If you have any difficulties with passwords for online work for your child, please
send an email to it@cranbrookprimary.redbridge.sch.uk: The I.T. technician will
respond to you to address this.
 We are in the process of organising a regular video by classteachers to remain in
contact with their children. Further information will follow after Easter.
 School will not be open during the Easter break, however, the local authority is
offering support with childcare for children of key workers. If you require a place
for your child, please respond to the letter that was sent out on Monday and
again today. The deadline is 2pm today. Further information will be sent out by
the Local Authority to the key worker parents who request a place for their child.
 Due to the current situation, the recruitment of the new headteacher is on hold.
Therefore, I will remain at the school until this situation is over and the
governing body has appointed a new headteacher to replace me.

Please take good care of yourself and your family.

Best regards,

Jas Leverton
