Subject: Participation of teachers, principals, and counselors in 2024 IC3 (International Career & College
Counseling) Regional Forums and IC3 Institute Programs: Essential Professional Development
Opportunities for School Educators- Shaping Students’ Futures through Career and College Counseling
The IC3 (International Career & College Counseling) Movement is a global effort to establish career and college counseling in
every school. Its mission is for young people to get the support they need for purpose and direction in their lives and for schools
to integrate practices that ensure the holistic development of students. In addition to enabling informed career decision-making,
studies show that the timely introduction of career and college counseling improves student learning outcomes, improves
attention spans, fosters student well-being and mental health, and reduces school dropout and failure rates in higher education.
Further understanding of this subject can be gained through a host of professional development opportunities for school
educators outlined below:
1. IC3 Regional Forums: IC3 is conducting a series of one-day in-person Regional Forums from January through July
2024 across 34 cities in 16 countries (refer Annexure A for details) for high school teachers, principals, and
counselors. Held at local high schools, these day-long forums will include learning and networking opportunities for
schools to acquire career and college counseling fundamentals and their practical implementation in schools.
Please Note:
● Counselor Resource Handbook: A copy will be handed to each school at the Regional Forum. Developed by
the IC3 Institute, the handbook comprises 25 valuable resources for career counselors
● E-Certificate: A certificate of participation will be given to each attendee of the Regional Forum
● No Cost Involved: There is no fee for attending the program
● Mobile app Access: View detailed program for the day, learning sessions and network with school and
university colleagues across India and the world.
● Registration is a MUST: Interested teachers, counselors, and school leaders who wish to participate must
