HODYON

DEMONSTRATION REPORT

HODYON is one of the cultural sports being played in Rizal Palawan, it is a game for all ages, where
Bao/coconut shell is needed in the game, it is played by teams.

The traditional game demonstration took place with the aim of showcasing and preserving cultural
heritage through engaging and entertaining traditional games. The game provides entertainment,
relaxation and exercise.

Throughout the demonstration, explanation about the history of the game Hodyon, educating the
participants about traditions behind this game.

SETUP AND VENUE;

The demonstration was held in ISABELA STATE UNIVERSITY ILAGAN Campus Gymnasium.

PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED;

 Noisy surrounding
 Some students are not listening

SUGGESTIONS;

 Maximize the space in my IM’s (font size is too small for the students to read)
 Use bullets in my mechanics to summarize the list of my instructions instead of using
paragraph form.

RECOMMENDATIONS;

 Need a trial game to clarify or simulate the mechanics

 time is not necessary
CONCLUSION;

Demonstrations like these not only allow you to showcase your talent and passion but also help
preserve and promote the cultural heritage associated with traditional games. While demonstrating
there are problems that we encountered and need to improve, their suggestions and
recommendations can help me to improve my skills in demonstrating a game and also in other
subjects.

Remember, every effort counts, no matter how small. By actively promoting and preserving the
cultural heritage associated with traditional games, you are playing a vital role in keeping these
traditions alive for generations to come.
