Let’s analyse why:

1) Introduce the song and the singer

2) Situate the song in a period, in history, in its country of origin/ Give the context of the song/
Explain why it was important for this particular singer (if necessary)

3) Explain what the song denounces or what cause it gives a voice to

4) Explain why you chose this song : was it because you already knew the song and you
wanted us to discover it ? was it because this particular subject is important to you and you
wanted to raise awareness ?

5) In today’s society, why is that subject important ? why should we pay attention to that
subject ?

Beware to : quote the song as often as possible to explain

Please produce a powerpoint presentation with pictures and only some words (no sentences or
paragraphs on the slides).
In addition, you will present orally all the topics given above with the help of your slides
The oral presentation will last 3 to 5 minutes and you will be allowed to have some notes with
you (but not the whole presentation written on a draft paper)
