Example of Significance of Study

This study aims at developing an online student registration system with ability to allow a
student register anytime from anywhere and be able to check their registration status.
Therefore, it will alleviate long registration queues and delays (Why the study is
important).The contribution of this study would be of interest to students, student registration
officers at Meru university of science and technology and the research community in general.
The benefits to the students, includes: real time availability of information, where a student
can view up to date information and make informed decisions during the registration process.
Also it provides accessibility and convenience where a student can register for courses from
anywhere at any time. This provides flexibility and convenience, allowing a student to
complete the registration process at their own pace and access the necessary information
easily (important to the student). Also the study is important to the student registration
officers of Meru University of Science and Technology since it reduces administrative
burdens through the automated process. Further, it eliminates the need for paper based forms
data entry and manual record keeping. Lastly a benefit to the registration officers is enhanced
communication and collaboration which facilitates improved communication and
collaboration within the registration department and other departments (importance to the
