Change leadership
THE 3 C’s OF EFFECTIVE CHANGE LEADERSHIP
COMMUNICATION COLLABORATE COMMITMENT

The 3 C’s
COMMUNICATION
COMMUNICATION
1. The changes should be communicated to the colleagues
and followed by the goals review to adjust performance
objectives and ensure that the change will be in the
correct direction.

2. Open communication. Managers and staffs in an

organization should be able to share/express their ideas,
issues, and thoughts with one another in a steady,
honest, transparent, and reliable manner. This way,
teams can avoid surprises, resolve conflicts, and
collaborate better.

3. Reciprocal communication. Staffs need to be able to

communicate to their direct supervisor, peers and
manager, both in their team and from another
department. To do so, all staffs need to be able to
communicate in English. In Legal Group, we have
implemented English day twice a week to practice their
English, both verbal and written communication.
COLLABORATE
COLLABORATE 1. As a leader, we need to work across boundaries,
encouraged our staffs to break out of their silos, and
refused to tolerate unhealthy competition. A silo is a
system that separates different types of employees,
usually based on the department they work for. This
creates barriers that impede team collaboration and
communication, as well as reduce efficiency and impede
information flow. Unhealthy competition brings dept as
each person simply wants to shine on their own. If 1
staff start pulling in opposite directions instead of pulling
in one direction, it will create frustrations within the
team, which eventually leads to its collapse.

2. Included the staffs in problem solving and decision-

making early on, strengthening their commitment to
change. All member of Legal Group has been trained and
implement the problem-solving and decision making
according to their CLC level.
COMMITMENT
COMMITMENT
1. Work Commitment. We review the enthusiasm from
each staff towards his/her tasks assigned at a workplace.
The staff feeling of responsibility that he/she has toward
the goals, mission, and vision of the department scope
and company organization he/she is associated with.

2. Motivated Workforce. Without a motivated workforce,

there won't be any work commitment and an
organization could lose all that they have earned over
the years, be it respect or its market position.

In Legal group, we all have the same understanding that all

our effort and works for our dept and company will pay off.
There are no special staff who will get more benefit because
she/he always get back up or protected by the highest
leader/management. Motivate the staff about a fair
judgement in competencies, capabilities and skill, and not
about how senior your age or how long your service year
with the company.
