b) Explain the four (4) layers of the skin. (4 marks)
c) Outline the procedure of applying the powder bleach. (4 marks)
d) Give the benefits of facials as a beauty treatment. (6 marks)

Discuss any five (5) techniques of manicure and pedicure. (15 marks)

QUESTION THREE (15 MARKS)

Haircutting is the very foundation of hairdressing. Discuss five (5) different hair cutting techniques.

QUESTION FOUR (15 MARKS)

Makeup application varies according to the time of day and the occasion. Age is also an important
factor impacting choice of makeup. Discuss the different types of makeup suitable for different
occasions.

pressure points, right positioning of hands/finger and strokes. Using this as a reference point, give
