Introduction of Activities
Social dancing is not only a great way to exercise /but can also make you feel
more confident. /There is something about being able to do something/ that
others can’t that makes you feel confident./
The test for social dancing success is how much the dance partners have
enjoyed the dance - not how they have danced in the eyes of others or how
"correctly" they have danced.
Culminating activity in MAPEH/ is not just enhancing the skills of the student-
athletes, /but it also creates a strong bond between them./ The essence of this
activity for the student-athletes/ is to show their knowledge and skills/ that
were improved and learned from different topics in Music, Arts, Physical
Education, and Health. /
I want to see and hear all the participants who will dance Cha Cha Cha,
SWING, and HIPHOP DANCE! /
Let’s have a roll call!
Once you hear your section you can CLAP and ShOW YOUR
EXCITEMENT.

there was no one to judge, right? /These are the judges/ who will decide what
section is the best among the 4 grade 9 sections in terms of dancing.

our student-athletes as they execute the skills involved in the dance.
Starting of Cha cha cha…
This dance is a fun, flirty dance that grew out of the Cuban Mambo and
became immensely popular in the United States in the 1950’s. It consists of
triple chasse (SHA-sey) steps (cha cha cha’s) and rock steps.
Cha Cha has a modified Cuban Motion hip action, because of the speed. This
is an exuberant dance that will get your heart pumping and put a smile on your
face.

SWING
SWING IS A LIVELY, NON-PROGRESSIVE PARTNER DANCE THAT CAN
BE DANCED TO A WIDE VARIETY OF MUSIC, FROM BLUES TO ROCK &
ROLL. NON-PROGRESSIVE MEANS IT'S MOSTLY PERFORMED IN ONE
SPOT, SO IT'S VERY CONVENIENT ON A CROWDED DANCE FLOOR.

SWING DANCE IS ACTUALLY A GROUP OF DANCES THAT DEVELOPED

WITH THE SWING STYLE OF JAZZ MUSIC IN THE 1920S THROUGH 1940.
HISTORICALLY, “SWING” REFERRED TO THE STYLE OF JAZZ MUSIC
THAT INSPIRED THE DANCE. DURING THAT TIME, HUNDREDS OF
STYLES OF SWING DANCING DEVELOPED.

MODERN DANCE, TAP, AND SWING, INTEGRATING MUSIC AND
COMPLEX MOVEMENTS TO FORM ARTISTRY.
