Examination Rules and Procedures


1. Please present your QU ID to be allowed to sit for the exam (Your ID should be placed on the exam
table).
2. This exam worth 25 percent of your total grade. The weight for each question is indicated.
3. This exam contains 8 pages, including this cover page.
4. You must leave your personal belongings out of reach.
5. Do not open the examination or fill out any material until instructed to do so by the proctor.
6. This is a CLOSED BOOK examination. You are not allowed to use any material during the exam.
7. The use of cell phone, smart watch or any other electronic device is strictly prohibited during the exam.
The use of cell phone or smart watch is considered as a cheating attempt. Make sure to switch it off and
keep it out of reach and out of sight.
8. Please go to the washroom, if you need to, before the exam starts. You are not allowed to go to the
washroom during the exam.
9. You are not allowed to communicate with your colleagues during the exam. Communicating with your
colleagues or looking at your colleagues’ exam paper is considered a cheating attempt.
10. You are NOT allowed to leave the exam venue before 30 minutes from the exam start.
11. You are NOT allowed to enter the exam venue after 30 minutes from the exam start.
12. You must bring your own calculators and supplies. Exchange of supplies is not permitted.
13. You are not allowed to leave the exam venue during the last 10 minutes of the exam in order to facilitate
the collection of papers.
14. At the end of the exam, you must remain seated in order to allow the proctors to collect the exam papers.
15. “Cheating or attempting to cheat are academic violations according to Qatar University rules and
regulations, and in some cases, they may result in final dismissal from the University. Students should
not under any circumstances commit or participate in any cheating attempt or any act that violates student
