Traffic Organization
in
Yangtze
Estuary
In order to further optimize the navigation safety of ships in the
Yangtze Estuary, Wusong Vessel Traffic Service Center (Wusong VTS)
recommends the following traffic organizations in the Yangtze Estuary:

1. The traffic lane A and B in Changjiangkou ship routing system

(2008) are extended to123°E in the direction of 090°, the traffic
lane C1 is extended to 31°20 ′ N in the direction of 000°, and
the traffic lane C3 is extended to reporting line L1 in the direction
of 180°;

2. The traffic lane C2 in" Changjiangkou ship routing system

(2008)" is prohibited for navigation;
3. The new North-South traffic lane is between longitudes 122°45′
20″ E and 122°50′20″ E, in which, the southbound traffic lane is
between longitudes 122°45′20″ E and 122°47′20″E, the northbound
traffic lane is between longitudes 122° 48′20″ E and 122°50′20″ E.
The new separation zone is between longitudes 122° 47′20″ E and
122°48′20″ E. And the northern boundary is up to latitude 31°20 ′
N,the southern boundary is up to extension section of traffic lane B.
The new North-South traffic lane intersects with the extension traffic
lane A and B ,which form two crossing waters.

Special Notes:The above items are for Wusong VTS to organize the
on-site traffic of ships in the waters of the Yangtze Estuary, and do not
involve the revision of "Changjiangkou Ship Routing System(2008)".
