MECHANICS FOR THE MR. And MS.

AMJ-PKS 2024
1. The pageant is open to all students of AMJ-PKS.
2. The competition is divided into 2 categories:
a. Preschool-Primary Level (K-Grade 3)
b. Intermediate Level (Grades 4-6)
3. The pageant is divided into two components with equal weights:
a. Popularity Contest – 50%
b. Pageant Proper – 50%
4. Popularity Contest Segment
a. Fifty percent (50%) of the total score of each contestant will be taken from the
popularity contest.

b. Each contestant will be given a certain number of specially designed tickets which
they will sell at ten pesos each. Each ticket sold is equivalent to one (1) point.

c. Contestants will be ranked according to the points earned. The points earned will be
equivalent to fifty percent (50%) of the total score a candidate gets from both the popularity
contest segment and the pageant proper segment.

d. The Popularity Contest segment will have three canvassing. During the canvassing,
candidates will remit the amount of the tickets sold. The following will be the schedule of
canvassing:

 First canvassing – March 15 @ 3:30 pm

 Second canvassing – March 25 @ 3:30 pm
 Third/Final Canvassing – April 5 @ 3:30 pm

e. On the date of the canvassing, candidates will drop the stabs of the sold tickets and the
amount inside the canvassing box at least one (1) hour before the time of the canvassing.

f. At the end of the final canvassing, the candidates for each category (one male, one female)
with the highest remittance will be awarded the Mr. And Ms. Popularity during the coronation
night.
g. Forty percent (40%) of the amount remitted by each candidate will be awarded to the
candidates and the remaining sixty percent (60%) will be used for the different programs and
projects of the school.

5. Pageant Proper

a. No revealing costumes and wardrobes to be worn should be age appropriate. It is

discouraged to make students appear mature and older for their age.

b. During Coronation night, the candidates will be judge on the following categories with
corresponding percentage:

 Intelligence (Q&A) - 40%

 Cultural Costume - 15%
 School Uniform - 15%
 Formal Wear - 15%
 Talent - 15%
 TOTAL 100%

b. To get the final ranking, the points garnered in the Popularity Contest will be multiplied by
50% and the points received during the Pageant Proper will also be multiplied by 50%. The
product of the two segments will be added to get the final score of each candidate which will be
the basis for ranking. (Example: Candidate A was able to sell 100 tickets which is equivalent to
100 points. During the pageant

C. Winners and prizes will be:

 Mr./Ms. AMJ-PKS – sash, crown and 75% tuition fee discount

 Mr./Ms. AMJ-PKS Foundation – sash, crown and 50% tuition fee discount
 1st Runner-up – sash, certificate and 40% tuition fee discount (entrance fee)
 2nd Runner-up – sash, certificate and 30% tuition fee discount (entrance fee)
 3rd Runner-up – sash, certificate and 20% tuition fee discount (entrance fee)
