Dedicated Activity 1: Empathy Map


Reading Time The teacher will show a picture on screen and ask learners questions according to the Empathy Map. S/he then
process learners’ responses with respect to their perspectives and opinions.

Activity 2: Discussion on Intercultural Understanding


Based on the Empathy Map, the teacher will discuss how important intercultural understanding is to promote peace
and justice in the world.

Activity 3: Short Skit


Based on the discussion, the learners will narrate and act one specific situation wherein understanding, and respect
can be shown among different races and ethnicity.

Free Reading Learners and their Reading Buddies will have free time for reading and tutorial.
