 To understand the advanced instruments used and its applications in drug analysis.
 To understand the chromatographic separation and analysis of drugs.
 To understand the calibration of various analytical instruments and know analysis of drugs
using various analytical instruments.

3. Course learning outcomes:


(i) The basic theoretical knowledge and structural interpretation of organic and natural compounds
by NMR and Mass Spectroscopy.
(ii) Theoretically understand the aspects thermal methods of analysis and X-ray diffraction.
(iii) To understand the calibration of various analytical instruments and know analysis of drugs using
various analytical instruments.
(iv) Practical skills for the analysis of drugs and excipients using various instrumentation techniques.
(v) To understand the extraction techniques and hyphenated techniques.
(vi) To learn general theoretical principles and applications of Radio Immunological Assays.
