Zambales Tourism Office

I. History and Brief Background

The Zambales Tourism Office (ZTO) is a fully functional local government department
within the Provincial Government of Zambales(PGZ) since 2019. The office was previously
called the Provincial Tourism Investment and Promotions Office (PTIPO), which functioned
as a division under the Office of the Governor since its establishment on ___.
The office serves as the lead agency in tourism and investment promotions, culture and
heritage and preservation, and the development of a safe environment for all industry and
community stakeholders. The office also serves as the coordinating agency of the PGZ with
National Government Agencies such as the Department of Tourism, the Department of
Trade and Industry, the National Commission for the Culture and the arts, and other such
NGAs.
To keep a high standard in tourism and investment. ZTO oversees the compliance of
Tourism Related Establishments to the standards of DOT Accreditation, and the compliance
of LGUs to the latest requirements of the Competitive Cities and Municipalities Index
Survey.
