Interview answer sheet:

Tell me about yourself:

Answer:
As a senior year chemistry student from the National University of Sciences of Technology, I
have a strong academic foundation and a passion for research. I am particularly interested in
the field of materials science and have focused my studies on topics such as optimizing
batteries for air crafts and ships and synthesizing Schiff's bases for the development of
fingerprints.
Outside of my studies, I have also dedicated my time to volunteering at various organizations
such as Teach for Pakistan, Froods, and Alkhidmat Foundation. Through these experiences, I
have developed strong interpersonal skills and a sense of social responsibility.
I have also participated in the Amal Career Prep fellowship, which has helped me refine my
professional skills and prepare for my future career.

What is your strength?

Multitasking: During my 2nd semester, my father lost his job. The loss of my father's job put
a strain on our family's finances, making it difficult to continue paying for my education. Instead
of quitting my studies, I found a way to support myself financially by starting online tutoring.
Through my hard work and dedication, I have been able to manage my expenses while still
pursuing my education. This experience has taught me the importance of perseverance and
adaptability and has given me the confidence to overcome any future obstacles that may come
my way.

Teamwork: I was part of a 10-person team for a community service project that involved
raising money. We needed to collect a significant amount of money, which posed a challenge.
To achieve our goal, we applied the divide and conquer strategy, dividing tasks among the
team members. We organized bake sales and match screening events, which proved to be
successful in raising funds. Through our hard work and dedication, we were able to collect a
substantial amount of money, reaching a total of 1 lac. This experience taught me the
importance of teamwork, delegation, and creativity in achieving a common goal for a good
cause.

Leadership: As the leader of a final-year project team in college, I faced the challenge of
managing a diverse group with varying skill sets and personalities. By employing effective
communication, delegation, and leadership, I created a clear project plan with defined
milestones and deadlines and fostered a positive team dynamic through collaboration and open
communication. This resulted in completing the project on time and with great success, leading
to the startup's formation, and teaching me valuable lessons in effective leadership and
motivation.

What is your weakness?

Public Speaking: I have struggled with public speaking and experienced fear and anxiety
when speaking in front of others. My fear of public speaking and the physical symptoms that
accompanied it, such as shaking of my voice, made it difficult for me to effectively
communicate my ideas in front of a group. Despite my fear, I recognized the importance of
developing my public speaking skills and actively sought out opportunities to improve. I joined
the career fellowship of Amal Academy, where I had the chance to practice speaking in front
of a group of around 50 fellows. Additionally, I participated in FICS, where I had to present in
an auditorium of 300 people. These experiences allowed me to confront my fear and gradually
reduce it.
