Would you go on a mars mission?

I don’t want to go to Mars for a number of reasons. Let’s start with the
fact that going to Mars has both pros and cons. Let’s start with the
pros. The most important pro is that with our flight to Mars our
knowledge can increase and we can train people at special stations
which simulate conditions on Mars to prepare people for the
colonization of Mars. It’s very important, necessary and useful that we
colonize Mars, because our planet may soon be over. Another pro is
the experience gained in flight. The other pro is that it’s easier for
future generations to adapt on Mars. So they are counting on us.

Now we go to the cons. The main con is the enormous cost of this
flight. Both money and resources are spent. The second con is the lack
of an environment for normal human habitation. There may be a sense
of isolation from one’s family. There’s not enough oxygen and gravity to
survive. Lack of supplies and food can be considered a con too. But in
the future, most of these problems can be solved by building artificial
habitats.

I think that we don’t need to go to Mars because there’s a chance that

the Sun could swallow up all the planets in the solar system, so it’s
better to research, explore and colonize planets that are outside our
solar system. So I don’t want to go to Mars.
