A. Reviewing previous lesson or Before we begin our academic journey today,

presenting the new lesson let's pause for a moment of quiet reflection. (the learners will stand up)
Please rise as we start with a short prayer.
Okay class I'd like to remind everyone of the
class rules. Firstly, I don't allow the use of
phones while I'm discussing. Secondly, if you
have any questions about the lesson, please
direct them to me and not to your neighbor."
Do you understand!
Yes, sir!

Okay class, Good day! you may take your

seat.

I have prepared a game for you all that I know

you'll thoroughly enjoy." This game called “I’m
rolled, Pick me up please!” ("The students are expected to
listen to the instructions
attentively.")

I am Rolled; Open Me, Please!

The class will be divided into five groups. Each

group will have one representative to go in
front and pick from the rolled papers provided
by the teacher. They will explain the word and
answer the question written on it.

Paper 1 – SCREW DRIVERS (group1)

- How does the Philip screw drivers differ from "Phillips screwdrivers have
a flathead screw driver? cross-shaped tips, providing
better torque, while flathead
screwdrivers have single tips for
different screw types."

Paper 2- STEEL FILE (group2)

-What is the purpose of steel file? The purpose of a steel file is to
shape, smooth, or remove
material from metal, wood, or
other hard surfaces.
Paper 3- CLAW HAMMER

screws into various materials
such as wood, metal, or plastic.

Based on the clues provided in the game, can

you guess what our topic for today might be?

Basic concepts of Electrical

Installation and Maintenance
and equipment and tools sir!
Alright! Verygood!

B. Establishing a purpose for the

lesson
May I request two (2) students here in front,
"Two volunteers will demonstrate the
differences between scissors and side cutting
pliers by cutting wire, and another pair will (The learners will do the task)
showcase the variances between scissors and
a screwdriver by tightening screws on an
outlet."

"Can you identify the tasks your classmates

performed, determine if they executed them
correctly, identify who among them performed
the tasks accurately, and explain why you
believe that individual succeeded?"

In the activity, classmates

performed tasks like cutting wire
with scissors and side cutting
pliers, and tightening screws on
an outlet with scissors and a
screwdriver. Success depended
on following instructions
accurately and using the tools
correctly. Those who did so
likely succeeded due to
understanding the instructions
well or having prior experience
with the tools.

Execellent!

-Show pictures and realia

of electrical tools and
equipment.
- Let the students name the following tools:

"Alright, now I'm going to show you some

pictures of electrical tools and equipment, and
you'll identify what they are. Do you
understand what to do?"
C. Presenting examples/instances
of
the new lesson
Yes sir!

Screw driver sir!

Verygood!
Those are Steel file sir!

Excellent!

Pliers sir!

Good answer!

That’s a hammer!

Good job!

Electric drill sir!

Verygood!

D. Discussing new concepts and

practicing new skills #1

Are you familiar with the different electrical

tools and equipment that have been shown?
Ofcourse sir!
Can you give the functions or uses of those
tools?

Pliers grip, bend, and cut wires,

ideal for electrical work. Electric
drills bore holes in various
materials with rotating drill bits,
crucial for installations and
repairs. Steel files smooth and
shape metal surfaces, aiding in
precise adjustments.
Screwdrivers tighten or loosen
screws, pivotal for assembling
or disassembling electrical
components securely.

Verygood!

E. Discussing new concepts and "Alright, everyone, let's regroup. Your task is to
practicing new skills #2 list down all the necessary tools for the given
situation. Does everyone understand?"

("The students, divided into

groups, will collaboratively
compile a list of various
electrical tools and equipment
required for the given
scenario.")

What can you say on the activity that you

have perform and how you were able to
determine the tools that will be used for each The activity allowed us to
situation? engage collaboratively in
identifying and listing the
necessary tools for specific
situations. We determined the
tools by considering the tasks
required in each scenario and
matching them with the
appropriate tools' functionalities
and capabilities. This process
involved critical thinking,
problem-solving, and applying
our knowledge of tool usage in
practical situations.

"Great job, class! It looks like you're learning a

lot!"
"Okay, let's now delve into the basic concepts
of electricity."

Electricity is the flow of electric charge through

a conductor. It involves the movement of
electrons from one atom to another. The ("The learners are attentively
fundamental components of electricity include listening.")
voltage, current, and resistance.

Voltage (V) is the measure of electrical

potential difference, or the force that pushes
the electric charge through a circuit. Voltage is
measured in volts (V).

Current (I) is the rate of flow of electric charge,

or the quantity of charge passing through a
conductor per unit of time. Current is measured
in amperes (A).

Resistance (R) is the opposition to the flow of

electric current in a circuit. Resistance is
measured in ohms (Ω).

Ohm's Law, expressed as V = I * R, illustrates ("The learners are attentively

the relationship between voltage, current, and listening.")
resistance in a circuit. It states that the voltage
across a conductor is directly proportional to
the current flowing through it and inversely
proportional to its resistance.

Understanding these basic concepts is

essential for comprehending how electricity
works and how to work safely with electrical
systems and equipment.

-Discussion of electrical tools and equipment.

-Showing pictures and realia of electrical tools.
-Generating students' ideas in the importance
of electrical tools in doing any electrical tasks
accurately and successfully.

The students will demonstrate the uses of (The learners is doing the task)
electrical tools that will be assigned to them.
(By group)
Criteria:
Demonstration: 60%
Resourcefulness: 20%
Time Management: 20%
100%

Do you Understand the Criteria?

Yes sir! Got it!

F. Developing mastery (Leads to

Formative Assessment 3)

As a future electrician, why do you think it is

important that you are familiar with different
tools and equipment used in electrical
installation?
Knowing various tools for
electrical installations is vital for
safety and efficiency. It helps
prevent accidents, speeds up
work, and aids in
troubleshooting sir. Being
familiar with tools ensures
quality workmanship and
enables informed decisions on
the job.

Verygood!

How about the others? How will you be able to

list down the needed tools and equipment in an
electrical task accurately?
To accurately list the required
tools and equipment for an
electrical task sir, I would first
assess the specific
requirements of the task. Then,
I'd reference relevant guidelines
or instructions, consider the type
of work involved, and anticipate
any potential challenges.
