IV. PROCEDURES
 Prayer

 Classroom Management

 Checking of Attendance

 Classroom Rules
Review and Recall:
A. Reviewing previous lesson or
presenting the new lesson - The learners will make a recap about the previous topic, different types of
electrical forms. They will identify the name of different types of electrical
forms that will be presented by the teacher.

Guide Questions:
The topic that we had discussed last meeting was all about?
Tell something about the different types of forms.

Answer Key:
1.Purchase Requisition Form
2. Inventory Slip Form
3. Job order/Work order Form
4.Borrower`s Form

B. Establishing a purpose for the “MYSTERY BOX GAME

lesson Keep/Give the box”

Before the discussion, the student teacher will conduct an activity that is
connected to the new topic. The game name is entitled “Mystery Box”

Directions: I will group the class into two. Each group will pick letters and
answer the questions (3 letters each group). Then they must choose if they
want to keep the box or give the box to the other group.

C. Presenting examples/instances of Significant Questions

the new lesson
1. Based on the game that you’ve played, what do think will be our
topic for today?
2. Why is it important to use appropriate electrical tools and materials
in our task or in a workplace?
D. Discussing new concepts and The Teacher will show a short video presentation of different sample of
practicing new skills #1 electrical tools showing the functions and uses of each tools.

Guide Questions:
 What are the tools being used in the video presentation?
 In what ways these tools can help an electrician? Support your
answer.
 As a student how can these tools and materials make your tasks
easier, especially in some simple task? Explain briefly.

E. Discussing new concepts and ELECTRICAL TOOLS

practicing new skills #2
• is a screwdriver with a wedge-
shaped flat tip, used to tighten
or loosen screws that have a
straight, linear notch in their
heads.
Standard flat screwdriver
• has a head with pointed edges
in the shape of a cross, which
fits neatly into the cross slots of
a Phillips screw.

Philips screwdriver
• also known as Hex key. This is
a small handheld tool used
for turning bolts and screws
which have hexagonal sockets.

Allen Screwdriver/wrench
• used for gripping,
compressing, bending, twisting,
extracting and cutting various
materials.

Combination pliers
• used for cutting wire and
small pins in areas that cannot
be reached by larger cutting
tools.

Long nose pliers

 A wire stripper is a small,
hand-held device used to
strip the electrical insulation
from electric wires.

ELECTRICAL SUPPLIES AND MATERIALS

Directions: Answer the following questions in a ¼ sheet of pad paper.
F. Developing mastery
Questions:
(leads to Formative Assessment 3)
1. It is used for gripping, holding, cutting
electrical wires and cables and even small
nails. It is usually used by linemen in
doing heavy tasks.
2. It is used for cutting and holding fine wires.
It can reach tight spaces or small openings
where other pliers cannot reach and it is also
used in making terminal loops of copper
wires.
3. It has a cross tip resembling a positive (+)
sign. It is used to drive screws with cross slot
heads.
4. It is a device inserted to a convenience outlet to
conduct electric current.
5. It is a device that connects and disconnects the
flow of electric current in a circuit.
Answer key:
1. Combination pliers
2. Long nose pliers
3. Philip head screw driver
4. Male plug
5. Switch
Group Activity
G. Finding practical applications of
concepts and skills in daily living Do and Form: Make and Perform

The learners will be grouped into 3. Each group will be given a task and they will
be given 3 minutes to finish the task. After that, they will explain their output in
front of the class

Group 1: Father as an Electrician

- The group will conduct a training or seminar how to use some
common tools and materials in electrical with provided
pictures commonly used by their father at home.

Group 2: Hey! I`m an Engineer

- This group will conduct a short interview to an engineer on
how to properly use some common tools and materials in
electrical showing a floor plan.
Group 3: The SDDR Coordinator
- This group will perform a short role play on how to avoid electrical
hazards and accidents in the workplace.

Scoring Criteria for Group Presentation

Scoring Rubrics

Let’s do It: Let’s Present It!

The students will present their outputs according to the tasks given to all groups.

Card to Exit: Let’s Execute It!

H. Making generalizations and Guide Questions:
abstractions about the lesson Directions: Complete the sentence below.

 We have learned that_______________ is used

to_________________________________________.

CONCEPT MAPPING: TOOL-SIFY

I. Evaluating learning
The learners will identify the pictures on the board if it is a Tool or a
Material. They will post it according to its classification.

Tools Materials

J. Additional activities for application Follow – Up Assignment:

or remediation
Assignment
Direction: Identify the tools being asked in the following statements. Write your
answers in your notebook.
1. You’re tasked with installing metal conduit in a construction project. What
tool would you reach for to make precise cuts through the conduit?
2. While setting up electrical equipment, you notice a loose connection. What
device would you use to ensure a secure electrical connection to the outlet?
3. As a lineman, you’re tasked with maintaining transmission lines. Which
tool would you rely on to safely remove insulation from wires and cables?
4. You’re assembling furniture that requires screws with hexagonal heads.
Which tool would you use to tighten these screws effectively?
5. During a wiring project, you encounter medium-sized wires that need their
insulation removed. Which tool would you use to strip the insulation
without damaging the wires?

Answer key:
1. Hacksaw
2. Male plug
3. Electrician’s Knife
4. Allen Screwdriver/wrench
5. Wire Stripper
