IV. PROCEDURES
A. Introduction What I need to know?

The lesson content and learning objectives will be presented by

the teacher to guide the learners on the learning expectations.

What is new?

 Activity : Think and Share.

Online: The teacher will present some pictures on the screen. He
will select some learners to share on the class what they observed
in the pictures. He will let them turn on their microphone for
sharing on the class.

Modular: Given the different works in the pictures, the learners

will answer in their notebook or portfolio the Activity on LM-
EIM G7-G8, p. 4.
B. Development What I know?
Online: To determine how much the learners already know about
preparing electrical supplies, materials and tools, the learners will
name some of the samples or pictures that will be presented by
the teacher on the screen. Selected learners must open their
microphone to give their answers.
Modular: The learners will answer in their notebook or portfolio
the Pretest LO1, on LM-EIM G7-G8, p. 5.

What is in?
The teacher wil provide initial background on the KSVs to be
developed with the help of the content to be discussed in What is
it?

What is it?

Online: The teacher will share his screen and show to the
learners his prepared power point presentation on preparing
electrical supplies, materials and tools.

The following topic will be presented and discussed:

• Electrical Tools and Equipment
• Electrical Supplies and Materials
• Common Wire Splices and Joints

There must be an open discussion where the learners will turn on

their microphone to share what they learned on the topics
discussed.

To have a thorough discussion and to have more participation of

the learners, they can share their ideas on the chat box of the
online platform.

Modular: The learners will read the topics on preparing

electrical supplies, materials and tools, using LM-TLE-G7-G8,
Information Sheet 1.1, pp. 6-10.

C. Engagement What is more?

Online: After the allotted time for discussion using the power
point presentation, the learners will identify the different
electrical tools and materials that must be shown in the screen.

Modular: The learners will answer in their notebook or portfolio

the Self-Check 1.1, on LM-TLE-G7-G8, p. 11

What I can do?

Online: The learners will listen to the demonstration of the

teacher using his screen for the different set of electrical tasks.
• Skinning of Wire Using Different Tools and Equipment
• Connecting Wires to Wiring Materials
• Splicing of Wires

The teacher will select learners to turn on their microphone to

entertain their inquiries.

Using the chat box, other learners will also encourage to raise
their questions.

Modular: The learners will read and understand the different set
of tasks on the Operation Sheet 1.1, 1.2A and 1.2B, on LM-TLE-
G7-G8.
• Operation Sheet 1.1 – Skinning if Wire Using Different Tools
and Equipment, p. 12.
• Operation Sheet 1.2A – Connecting Wires to Wiring Materials,
p. 13.
• Operation Sheet 1.2B – Splicing a Rat Tail Joint, p. 14.

Activity: List Down Materials and Tools

The learners (online and modular) shall list down the different
tools and materials needed for the different electrical tasks:
• Skinning of Wire
• Connecting Wires to Wiring Materials
• Splicing a rat Tail Joint

What else I can do?

Activity: Prepare for the Tasks

The learners (online and modular) will prepare their listed

electrical tools and materials that maybe available inntheir house
needed for the said tasks.

D. Assimilation What I have learned?

Activity 6: Let’s Do It!

Given the different tasks, the learners must perform them with
their prepared electrical tools and materials.

Online: The learners must have a returned demonstration of the

different set of electrical tasks online through Google classroom
or messenger as their performance.
Modular: The learners can be guided by their parents or
guardians at home in doing the different electrical tasks
following the procedure and steps in LM-TLE-G7-G8, pp. 12-15.

What I can achieve?

The performance of the learners on each task will be judged

using the following criteria on the rubrics (based on LM-TLE-
G7-G8, p. 15):

PERFORMANCE RUBRICS:

CRITERIA 4 3 2 1
Accuracy
Workmanship
Proper handling of tools
Speed

Legend:
4 – Excellent 3 – Good 2 – Fair 1 – Poor

SCALE DESCRIPTION POINTS

4 Excellent 93-100
3 Good 86-92
2 Fair 79-85
1 Poor 78 and below

º Accuracy – the ability to follow the procedures/ directions

with precision
º Workmanship – the art, skill, and finality of work
º Proper handling of tools – the ability to apply the proper
handling of tools for a given task
º Speed – efficiency of work

Both online and modular learners must submit their outputs to the
teacher by their parents or guardians.

To relate their learned concepts to their personal lives, online and

modular learners shall visually inspect the wiring installation of
their houses. Whenever they must see connections for repair,
they must list down the needed electrical tools and materials to
do the tasks.

V. REFLECTION Activity :

Online and Modular: The learners will write their personal

insights about the lesson in their notebook or portfolio using the
prompts below.
