The pace of the game was as blistering as O'Hagan's touchdown. Vaivai connected deep
with Marvin Fauid for a 58 yard score. The disaster struck again as Solomon fumbled the
kick off return and before3 you knew it, Canberra were in again with Josh Stone running
up the middle for the score.

The lead was now 8 and Adelaide had just under 5 minutes to do something about it. A
drive looked promising but ended at mid field and a gutsy Coach Frier chose to punt. A
short run by Canberra was followed by a time out. Then two incomplete passes saw
Canberra have top punt with not time gone. This time Adelaide drove the ball down
quickly and Robinson capped off the drive with a crash over run. he doubled down with
another run for the successful two point conversion.

Intent was what Canberra came with and intent and execution was what they finished
with. With 14 seconds left to play a quick out to Saunders started the drive. Then
another quick completion and out of bounds to Fauid. They now needed 14 yards to get
into field goal range and 5 seconds left. Vaivai dropped back and threw automatically on
three steps. The ball was low and Afualo was down with it, making the diving catch
some 19 yards down the field. Time out with 1 second left. The ball was on the 45 yard
line and Faava Reedy-Bartlett nailed the winner.
