THE INDEPENDENT MAGAZINE. FOR WARHAMMER FANTASY: ROLEPLAY: RY, SEREDOM 6 SERVITUDE ~ _MARIENBURG REVISITED RETS-OF THE WFRP WRITERS | AND MUCH, MUCH MORE. 9 rinaes ‘560016 Boxe ig 6 HY eek EDITORIAL ye ud IT'S BIG!!! Wel, bigger! Bight pages to be precise someone read my editorial fast month! So what's going on you ‘may ask yourself, seeing the almost constant changes in the ‘magazine recently. am of course referring, in the main, to the lossy interior of isue twelve and the non-glossy interior of issue thineen and this issue. As we have stated before on many dccasions we have attempted to continually improve the ‘magazine. Some ofthese improvements have been hardly noticeable whilst some have been prety dramatic. In 1999 we signed a contract with Hogshead Publishing, publishers of Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay (and various other titles), which effectively transfered al printing and distribution under their control. Since then we have had afew teething problems (Issue [3d prove very unlucky for us being beset by non-stop probs Jems) meaning various delays along the way. However, things are finally sewing down now (Our mission statement, if we had one, would probably start with like “To boldly go, where no..." (sorry!) "Content is ‘more important than syle" As such, we have managed £0 increase the page count (hence more content!) atthe cost of @ ‘onally siylish glossy interior. IF however you see somethin sore pro the contents page opposite shinning back at you with & lovely lossy coat, then we've managed both. But don’t hold your breath! Talabheim: The Eve ofthe Forest our background of the city. its culture, history and people has been pushed back (again!) to issue sixteen Is looking impressive and looks like it may well be the largest background to a WERP city yet published. This hhuge source material for the ety will be appearing in three parts, Part one will take almost half an issue, and will be continued in two further issues by locations and more information. It's 2 project on a grand seale and has involved many talented writers we hope you will eink it worth the wait! Just 10 whet your appetite, some future articles that are in the Pipeline are The Cult of Sigmar, some background on Lustria tnd not-Chaos Secret Societies. However, this is really just the tip of the iceberg. ‘The extra pages we now have will enable us to really expand the WFRP world in directions we have not been able to before. So ook for some unusual stuf on the way. (On that line we are on the look out for humorous and not quite sctius articles on WFRP ot gaming as a whole. If you've ‘written one or have an idea for one, drop usa Tine, We're not planning on turning the magazine into a WFRP version of Mad, ‘We'd just like to incorporate the odd easy reading article ~ so go ‘on, make us chuckle! You will notice (or not) my absence from the next issue of ‘Warpstone, due to a new arrival inthe Keane household — and ho, it's nota new sofa! I'm hoping 10 be back on staff For issue sixteen, but as they say “the best laid plans..." and all that! So, T'llsee you then! “Meanwhile, Geneon UK is hurting towards us at some speed ‘now and, whilst {will not be abe attend, some ofthe Warp- stone team will be there. So, if you've got any views on how 10 Improve the magazine or ideas for new articles go and see them - and sign up for the WFRP Tournament! If his isn't enough you can catch us all at Dragonmeer in November. Yes, you head right: Dragonmeet. More details on page five. Over the pond we won't forget to mention Gencon itself.
