XYPEX CONCENTRATE - unique chemical treatment for the waterproofing,protection and repair of
concrete and most chemically active product within the Xypex Crystalline Waterproofing System.

XYPEX MODIFIED - . Applied as a second coat, Xypex Modified chemically reinforces XYPEX
CONCENTRATE where two coats are required and produces a harder finish or applied by itself to
dampproof the exterior of foundation walls.

WATERPLUG(MASTERSEAL 590) - Fast setting mortar to plug active water leaks in concrete and
masonry

MAPEIFILL GP - high strength, non shrink grout

MASTER EMACO S 5400 - High-strength, shrinkage compensated, fibre reinforced, structural repair
mortar

Application Methodology

1 De-watering. (If required)

2 Clean the existing surface to be free from dust, cement laitance, grout deposits, etc.
3 Stop any running water (if any) with WATERPLUG(MASTERSEAL 590).
4 Repair construction joints with sulphate resistant, high strength repair mortar MASTER EMACO S
5400 repair mortar as per Manufacturer's Specifications .
5 Repair honey combs,P- cone holes with sulphate resistant, high strength repair mortar MASTER
EMACO S 5400 repair mortar as per Manufacturer's Specifications .
6 Seal around the Pipe protrusions (if any) with high strength, non shrink grout MAPEIFILL GP.

7 Cure the application.

8 Saturate the existing surface with water.
9 a) Apply 1st coat of XYPEX CONCENTRATE slurry coat @ 0.8kg/m2 with a Bristle brush over
total area strictly according to the Manufacturer’s Specifications.
Please Note :- Use light prewatering between coats when rapid drying conditions exist.
b)Apply 2nd coat of XYPEX MODIFIED slurry coat @ 0.8kg/m2 while first coat of XYPEX
CONCENTRATE is still "green" but after it has reached an initial set.
10 Cure the waterproofing area with water 3 times a day for 2-3 days.
11 Allow treatment to set 12 days before filling the structure with liquid.
12 Check for water-tightness.
13 Protect the waterproofed area with 1:3 cement/sand 25mm thick screed layer with smooth finish.
