1 Introduction to the training Establishment

I was assigned to International Construction Consortium (ICC) to obtain my
training by carrying out the tasks that were implemented under the QA/QC system
of the company.

1.1.1 Nature of business

ICC is regarded as one of the leading building and civil engineering companies in
Sri Lanka with the highest ICTAD grading C1 in the construction industry mainly
in Buildings, Roads and Bridges, Water supply and drainage projects.
Besides the projects that have been implemented in Sri Lanka, ICC has also
executed projects in various countries such as Swaziland, Doha-Qatar and
Maldives as overseas projects. The services that were supplied include Ready-mix
Concrete, manufacture and supply of pre-cast concrete components and property
development.
Established in 1980, International Construction Consortium (Pvt) Limited (ICC),
has become one of the largest and renowned Civil Engineering organizations in Sri
Lanka which provides excellent service, with a group of experienced staff and an
ample fleet of equipment and plant.
