Lesson Title: Five Senses Stations

Instructional Context

What do I know about my students that will inform this lesson?

● My students have been engaged with every science unit in the past. Since we are
starting a new unit, I wanted to create a lesson that would get them moving and
engaged.
● Transitions can be challenging, clear expectations and directions are crucial.

How does this lesson connect with and build on the previous lesson?

● This new unit is called Waves All Around Us. To start the unit we are reviewing the five
senses in more detail which have been briefly introduced in a past lesson.

How do you expect to build on this lesson in subsequent lessons?

● In future lessons we will continue to learn more about each of the five senses. As the
unit progresses it will connect to light and sound waves.
