1 Teacher Training on ICT Based Teaching Program (specially focused on

smartboards and e-libraries utilization in school education)

1.1 Introduction
Teacher has vital role in the success of any school program. Ensuring their
complete comfort and confidence in technology-assisted teaching approaches
are crucial for their impact on the teaching-learning process. It is also important
to reassure them that ICT-based education only modifies their role, rather than
eliminating it entirely. Our training programs concentrate on IT literacy, child-and
students centric interactive teaching, and seamless ICT integration. Through
presentations, interactions, hands-on activities, and practice teaching, we equip
teachers to conduct successful technology-( smart board . e- library etc)
integrated classes, empowering them to create engaging learning environments
for their students.
1.2 Approaches on ICT Based Training
The training program will follow the following teaching approaches:
i. Comprehensive Training Approach
This program will empower teachers through comprehensive and intensive
session, covering essential areas such as IT literacy, child and student centric
integrative teaching, and seamless integration of ICT based instruction.
Teachers will gain practical knowledge and skills to effectively conduct
technology- integrated classes, fostering engaging learning environments for the
students.
ii. Regular Support and Monitoring Approach
Beyond the initial training, this training program will provide continuous support
to our teachers through in-school and refresher trainings. During the in-school
training, held four weeks after program commencement, teachers receive hands-
on experience and feedback on their ICT-integrated classes. Additionally, 4
months after the launch, a refresher training reinforces key concepts and
addresses any challenges. This ongoing support ensures that our teachers stay
equipped and confident in their teaching methodologies throughout their journey.
iii. Integrative and Engaging Approach
This traing methodology is combined presentations, interactive sessions, hands-
on activities, and practice teaching session to equip teachers with the
necessary skills and confidence. Through the interactive approach, teachers
become adept at seamlessly integration technology into their classroom
teaching, enriching the learning experience for the students

1,4 Different Phases of Training Courses

In order to achieve significant outcomes of the training program, the teacher
training will be divided into three phases
i. Initial Training (Just before launch the ICT based education) – 5 days
ii. In school training ( 4 week after launch the program) – 2 days
iii. Refresher training (4-5 month after launch the program) – 2 days

i. Initial Training (Just before launch the ICT based education)

The initial training is an intensive five-day program held just before the launch
of the ICT-based ( e-library and smart board and others ) education initiative in
schools. During this phase, teachers will engage in various activities to prepare
them for technology-integrated classes. The key focus areas include:
 Introduction to ICT
 Why and how to use ICT in education
 Efforts by the Government Sector in the field of ICT in Education

 Enhancing IT literacy and familiarity with digital tools like E-Paath and E-library
and smart board.
 Effective integration of ICT ( smart board and e- library ) in classroom
teaching.
ii. In school training ( 3-4 week after launch the program) – 2 days
3- 4 weeks after the program, the in-school training phase will commences
for 2 days. This stage involves hands-on experience for teachers, as they work
with students using digital tools. Trainers will:
 Review lesson plans prepared by teachers and provide constructive feedback.
 Observe ICT-integrated classes conducted by trained teachers to assess
implementation.
 Address challenges faced by teachers in applying the initial training concepts.
 Identify areas of improvement in the teaching-learning process and provide
guidance.
 Offer feedback to teachers to refine their skills and techniques.

iv. . Refresher training ( 4 months after launch the program) – 2 days

The final stage refresher training will be conducted 4 months after the program
launch for 2 days, serves as a refresher to reinforce key concepts and address
any challenges encountered during ICT-integrated classes. Teachers will
receive:
