    The vessel MV Dolphin is currently underway from Makassar to Tanjung Priok, Jakarta. This morning the officer on duty discovered an alarm from the GPS plotter showing a position failure message. Attempts to acknowledge the alarm were unsuccessful. Crew members checked connections which were found to be in good condition. It is suspected that there is a failure in the receiver connection of this equipment. Technicians and electricians should meet the vessel upon arrival in Tanjung Priok on January 22nd to check connections and repair the navigation equipment so it is in good working condition for safe sailing.

    Dear Vessel Manager,

    Good Day,

    Today, wedensday 21th Jan 2024 The MV Dolphin still underway from Makassar to Tg Priok, Jakarta.
    At 7am this morning , the Officer Duty found alarm from GPS Plotter and displayed notice "Possition
    Failure". The acknowledge button not function, alarm always ringing. We have carried out steps
    according to the manual procedure and check all connection, the connection in good condition. The
    suspect is any failure with RX connection in this equipment and need ensure this failure with
    software. We plotting possition using Paper Chart, manual bearing and GPS Furuno for a while.
    Please send technician and electrician to check all connection and repair this navigation equipment
    when the vessel arrived at Tg Priok Port, Jakarta. Estimate Time Arrival at Tg Priok on Thrusday, 22th
    Jan 2024 @15.00 WIB. We need all navigation in good condition to sail safely.
