I. INTRODUCTORY CONCEPT
This learner’s material is specifically designed for you to learn and executes the skills involved in
basketball. This learning activity sheet contains activities that will help you enrich, strengthen your
understanding about the sport.
III.ACTIVITIES
A. Let us Review
Last week you learned about the nature and background of basketball. Today’s topic you will learn
about the execution skills involved in basketball.
B. Let us Study
VOCABULARY LIST:
Air pass – a pass that travels between players without hitting the floor.
Bounce pass – a kind of pass that subsequently results in a goal being scored.
Chest pass – a pass that originates from the chest to the receiver’s chest level.
Dribbling – it a basketball basic skill that allows you to move around the court while you’re in possession of
the ball. It is legal method that allows you to advance with the ball and make a score as opposed to that of
passing it to a teammate to shoo it for the basket. This move involves bouncing the ball off the floor with your
hands as you cover the floor.
Warm-up exercises – are composed of static and dynamic movements intended to gradually increase heart
rate at the same time prepare and condition the body to more strenuous physical activities thereby preventing
injuries from happening.

Congratulations! You’ve made it to this phase. Prepare yourself for the various learning resources and
experiences that will enable you to make sense of the information given and allow you to develop, rethink,
validate, and revise your understanding of team sports.
Activity 2: Warming up

Here’s how:
1. Consider the following before starting the activity: proper basketball attire, warm-up exercises, and safety
precautions.

3. Proceed to the place in the open ground or basketball court. There are five stations corresponding to each
basic skill. Follow the drill sequence below as your guide.
Station II - Dribbling
Station III- Passing (Bounce Pass, Chest Pass and Overhead Pass)
Station IV – Rebounding
Station V - Running
4. You should pass through each station following the drill lessons on basic skills. After doing the drill for 3
minutes in one station, move to the next station until you experience all drill lessons provided.
5. Try to do well in this activity. Your performance will be rated based on the criteria set in the rubrics.

E. Evaluation
RADIAL CYCLE ACTIVITY
Directions: After the Health-related fitness test you are now able to identify which component you need
improvement. List down the different physical activities or household chores that can help you and your family to
achieve a maximum health related fitness despite of the pandemic.
