GUIDELINES FOR THE TERM PROJECT

PURPOSE: is to study, analyze or propose solutions or state insights for the SDG(s) you
choose or from the list of topics below. The topic is totally on your creativity.

SCOPE: The report should be approximately 3000 words. Electronic copies of all references
must be annexed. There are plenty of publications regarding the topic of sustainability, you are
expected to refer to those as well.

Here are more than 20 different topics for a sustainability project (these are just
examples):

Renewable Energy Sources: Exploring the use of solar, wind, or hydroelectric power in your
community.

Green Building Design: Investigating sustainable architectural practices and materials for
construction.

The relationship between Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) factors and
stock exchanges is multifaceted: ESG refers to a set of criteria that investors and financial
institutions use to evaluate a company's performance in environmental, social, and governance
areas.

Sustainable Transportation: Promoting biking, walking, and public transportation options to


reduce carbon emissions.

Waste Reduction and Recycling: Implementing strategies to reduce waste and increase
recycling rates.

Sustainable Agriculture: Studying organic farming practices and their impact on the
environment.

Urban Green Spaces: Creating and maintaining green urban areas for recreation and
biodiversity.
Water Conservation: Developing methods to reduce water consumption in households and
industries.

Biodiversity Preservation: Protecting and restoring local ecosystems and wildlife habitats.
