Mind theory

To prepare the kid: the Game hide and seek. He needs to hide in a new place every round. He
needs to stay in silence while we are looking for him.

Level I

1. a. An object and a box. We put the Object in front of the box and ask: Do you see “X”?
1. b. We put the Object under the box and ask Do you see “X”?
2. We put two imagines one behind the other in a way that he sees one and We see the other. We
named what We see. Then We turn the imagines.
A. The kids says what he sees
B. What do you see there?
C. What do I see here?
3. A doll and two objects. We ask the kid: put X in front the doll:
a. Does the doll see x?
Put x behind the doll
B. Does the doll see x?
4. two dolls and an object and We ask the kid:
A. Put the car to be seen by X
B. What does x see?

D. Put the car to be seen by y
E. What does x see?
F. What does y see?
5. Many objects and a doll. We put the doll to look at one object and ask: What is the doll
looking at?
6. We make again points 1-5 and ask:

7. We put an Object into a box without the kid to see and ask:
A. Do you know what is inside?
B. Why don’t you know?
8. We put an object into a box while the kid is looking and ask:
A. Do you know what is inside?
B. Do you see what is inside?
9 a. Put the toy somewhere where YOU see it.
B. Put the toy somewhere where BOTH of us see it.

C. Put the toy somewhere where neither of us see it.
10. A. Put the toy somewhere where YOU see it and I don’t
B. Put the toy somewhere where I can see it and you can’t
11. A. Put the toy somewhere where neither of us and the puppet see it
B. Put the toy somewhere where we see it and the puppet can’t
C. Put the toy somewhere where ME and THE PUPPET can see it but YOU can’t

3. The kid puts the book on the table and then leaves. When the kids comes back where is he
search for it?

Level IV
False believes - false conclusions!

Unexpected transitions
1. We have two dolls and an object witch we hide it under something. One goes away then we
change the place of the object. When he will come back where will he search for it? Why?

2. Chocolate
We put a puzzle into a chocolate box.
A. What do you think is in here? Chocolate! When we open the box and he sees what is in there
(puzzle).
B. We show the box to someone else and ask what is in there. What do you think he will answer?

Level V
Feelings - based on believes

1. Dana really wants a bicycle because she likes to ride it throught the park. She got as a gift a
computer. How does she feels?

2. Dad promise to Vlad that he will take him to Mc Donalds. Vlad does not like going outside.
When dad comes back from work, tired, he cancels the trip. How does Vlad feels?

3. Mom promise Maria that they will go in the park. Then she tells her that she can’t because she
has to much to work home. Someone helps her and finishes the job earlier and can make it to the
park. How does Maria feels? (she is upset because she does not know that her mom can make it)

4. Alex loses his toy and leaves to kindergarten, he does not have time to search for it. His mom
finds it meanwhile. How does Alex feel in the kindergarten?

Level VI
Cheating (identification and finding the cheater)

1. Identification of what can not be true


A. Last night aliens came and abduct me. That’s not true!

1. Mom was planning to buy Luca a firetruck. Before she wanted to buy it Luca starts to scream.
