Xi Jinping’s paranoia is making China isolated and insular.

The article explains how China is leaning toward having a more closed and separated
system due to Xi Jinping's rule. The statement reflects a situation in which the exchange
of products, such as fewer flights and fewer foreign tourists that visit, academic and
investment flows between China and the Western world, is directed downward. It will be
related to the transformation of Chinese internal security policy, its tendency of West
relations, and its national position in economy. The excluding trend can be witnessed in
China too, as Xi Jinping appears to be reluctant to travel abroad and the number of
Chinese students going to the United States has declined. The nation is thus devising
new ways of strategic departure from conventional Western alliances with its own
methods to draw tourists from particular countries and a focus on trade and
collaboration with specific regions. The essay also addresses China's quest to set up a
parallel global authority system, wherein self-sufficiency and a more proactive stance on
the part of China is paramount in the eyes of the West as well as focusing on curbing
the Western influence and economic constraints. The materials is the other thing, as
they talk about China’s economy, decreasing cooperation, and conflicts with West,
through this, they have tried to elaborate on the difficulties and complexities of China’s
new world role.

I agree that China being under Xi Jinping's order, has become more closed off and
exclusive. The idea is further explained by the decline of international collaboration, the
shortage of cross border exchange and how others express their fear of the West. A rise
in isolationism is also reflected with a decline in the number of Chinese students at US
universities and a drop in foreign investment in China. This is even more accentuated
by how China's more in a way isolationist approach and the emphasis of the
government on self-sufficiency are in accordance with the surroundings. Furthermore, I
concur that China's relationship with the West is changing significantly and that this is
resulting in a shift in domestic policymaking toward a more security-driven approach.
The report notes that some Chinese students may be discouraged from studying in
America because state-run media in China presents the West as bigoted and a
constructor of barriers. Additionally, a difficult relationship between the two nations is
reflected in the loss in academic exchange and the decrease in science articles
coauthored by Chinese and American academics, both of which add to China's
isolation.

Nevertheless I disagree the idea that China's isolation is the exclusive result of its own
doings. The report also emphasizes the influence of outside forces, such as US
attempts to restrain China's ascent to prominence in the world economy and current
geopolitical developments, such as Russia's incursion into Ukraine. These outside
influences have a big influence on China's isolation and should be taken into account
while creating a thorough view on the subject. It is critical to understand that rather than
being exclusively attributable to its own policies and actions, China's isolation is
impacted by a complex interaction of local and international variables.
