KINDS OF PRONOUNS
A. PERSONAL PRONOUN
A personal pronoun is a short word we use as a simple substitute for the proper name of a
person.
Change the noun inside the parenthesis with its appropriate personal pronoun.

B. REFLEXIVE PRONOUN
A reflexive pronoun is a specific type of pronoun that is used for the object of a verb
when it refers to the same noun as the subject of that verb.
Fill in the missing reflexive pronouns.

C. INTENSIVE PRONOUN
Intensive pronouns are used to add emphasis to the subject or antecedent of the sentence.
You'll usually find the intensive pronoun right after the noun or pronoun it's modifying, but not
necessarily.
Make the subject in the following sentences emphasized and clear by inserting an intensive.
Use a caret ( ^ ) symbol.
Examples: My mother bakes our family’s bread.
The team knew that they were responsible for playing their best.

D. DEMONSTRATIVE PRONOUN
A demonstrative pronoun is a pronoun that is used to point to something specific within a
sentence.

E. RELATIVE PRONOUN
A relative pronoun is a pronoun that introduces a relative clause. It is called a "relative"
pronoun because it "relates" to the word that its relative clause modifies.
Activity 1: Join together the following sentences using a relative pronoun.
Example: . I have a friend. He is a great artist.
Answer: I have a friend who is a great artist.

F. INTERROGATIVE PRONOUN
An interrogative pronoun is a pronoun used to ask a question. (who, which, what, whose,
whom, that)
Write an appropriate interrogative pronoun to make the question complete.
