Suggested yarn:
• Pierrot Yarns Shine Cotton [100% cotton; 155 yds/142m per 1.06 oz./30g skein];
• type A:
• color #5 green, 3 skeins [75g]
• color #20 yellow, 1 skein [small amount]
• type B:
• color #18 orange, 3 skeins [75g]
• color #6 navy blue, 1 skein [small amount]

Tools/Notions:
• 1.5mm (US steel hook #8) crochet hook or size necessary to achieve gauge
• 8mm/0.31" plastic rings (to be worked into the motifs)
• metallic beads (silver and gold)
• cord and toggle
• 3 buttons

• No gauge is provided in original pattern. Use hook size necessary to achieve desired fabric
stiffness.

Gauge may vary according to individual crochet style. Change hook size if necessary to achieve gauge.

Summary
Motifs: Crochet required number of motifs using vinyl ring to start each one. (Alternatively, use ch5 loop to begin.)

Finishing: After making all required motifs, seam together according to chart & schematic.

Popcorn motifs
➀ Use one 8mm vinyl ring for each popcorn motif. Leaving a
tail approximately 10cm long, work 4 popcorn stitches into ring.

Motif joining instructions


For chihuahua coat
(see pattern 210-59) For toy poodle coat ➁ Place 4 motifs next to each other as shown below.

For motifs 3 & 4, insert hook into 2 loops of base of slip stitch on
vinyl ring motif 2 to ensure a smooth join. The central join (at the corners of
vinyl ring all four motifs) should have 7 stitches across in each direction.
