Pattern

SQUARE
Begin with a magic ring
All rounds begin with 1 sl st in the chain space, ch 4 = 1 dc + ch 1
All rounds end with 1 sl st in 3rd ch

Round 1: Ch 4, * 3 dc in the ring, ch 2 *, repeat *-* 3 times in total, 2 dc, join with 1 sl st in the
3rd ch, tighten the thread (= 4 groups of 3 dc)

Round 2: Ch 4, 2 dc in the chain space, 1 dc in each stitch across to the next chain space (corner
space), * (2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in the corner space, 1 dc in each stitch across to the next chain space
(corner space),*, repeat *-* 3 times in total (= 3 corners),
1 dc in the last corner space, join with a sl st in the 3rd ch (= 4 corners)

Round 3: like round 2

Round 4: like round 2

Round 5: like round 2

TRIANGLE
Begin with a magic ring

Row 1: Ch 4 (counts as dc + ch 1), 3 dc in the ring, ch 2, place a stitch marker in ch 2, 3 dc in the


ring, ch 1, 1 dc in the ring, tighten the thread. Break the yarn.

Attach new yarn after each row and begin on the same side as on row 1.

Row 2: Ch 4, 2 dc, 1 dc in each st across to the stitch marker, (2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in same chain
space, 1 dc in each st across to the chain space, (2 dc, ch 1, 1 dc) in the last chain space. Break the
yarn.

Row 3: Repeat row 2.

Row 4: Repeat row 2.

Row 5: Repeat row 2.
