Close the holes between the parts of the tail by sewing together from the inside with the remaining

Tie-off and leave enough yarn to sew the feet to the branch.

Heart
(Use light brown yarn)
RND 1: 6 sc in magic ring (6)
RND 2: 2 sc in each 2nd sc (9)
RND 3-175: 9 sc (9) Fill up regularly. Put also regularly iron wire in it.
RND 176: dec over each 2nd and 3rd sc (6)
Tie-off with a sl.st and sew the end to the beginning. Bend it into a heart shape.

Branch
(Use dark brown yarn)
RND 1: 6 sc in magic ring (6)
RND 2: 2 sc in each 2nd sc (9)
RND 3-50: 9 sc (9) Fill up regularly.
RND 51: dec over each 2nd and 3rd (6)
Put iron wire in it that is as long as the branch. Tie-off with a sl.st and leave enough yarn to sew the
branch to the heart.
Leafs (8x)
(Use for 4 leafs dark green yarn and for 4 leafs light green yarn)
Row 1: 8 ch + 1 tch
Row 2: 1 sc in the 1st ch, 1 hdc in the 2nd ch, 1 dc in the 3rd ch, 2 dc in the 4th and 5th ch, 1 dc in the
6th ch, 1 hdc in the 7th ch, 1 sc in the 8th ch
Row 3: 2 ch and continue on the other side of the row
Row 4: 1 sc in the 1st ch, 1 hdc in the 2nd ch, 1 dc in the 3rd ch, 2 dc in the 4th and 5th ch, 1 dc in the
6th ch, 1 hdc in the 7th ch, 1 sc in the 8th ch
Tie-off with a sl.st and leave enough yarn to sew the leafs to the heart and the branch.

Hanger
(Use dark green yarn)
Row 1: 75 ch (75)
Tie-off and leave enough yarn to sew the hanger to the heart.

Putting all the parts together


Sew the head to the body.

Sew the wings to the body.

Sew the tail to the back of the body, somewhere at round 5 (counted from the bottom).

Sew the beak to the head, somewhere at round 15.

Sew the big eyes to the head, somewhere at round 9 with 2 stitches between the eyes.
Sew the branch to the heart.

Sew the feet to the branch. Put the birds on the spot where you want them to determine where the
feet should be.

Sew or paste the birds on top of the feet. For more firmness you can sew or paste the tails of the
birds to the heart.

Sew the leafs to the branch and the heart. Sew 2 leafs to the branch below the birds. Sew 2 other
leafs to the end of the branch. Sew the other leafs per 2 to the convex sides of the heart.

Sew the hanger to the back of the heart behind the leafs.

Eyes
Cut 2 circles out of black felt and 2 smaller circles out of white felt. Paste the white circles onto the
black circles. Then paste the black circles to the big eyes.
