LESSON PLAN IN MATHEMATICS 10

Demonstrated during the International Trainings for Pedagogical Advancement

St. Paul’s University Iloilo City
October 20, 2019

I. OBJECTIVE :
at the end of the lesson the student should be able to:
1. Identify the end behavior of the Graph Polynomial Functions;
2. Sketch the graph of Polynomial Functions;
3. Appreciate the use of graph in daily life situations.

II. CONTENT :
A. Topic : Polynomial Functions
B. Concept :
In any polynomial functions:
1. If the leading coefficient is positive and the degree is odd, the graph
rises to the right and falls to the left;
2. If the leading coefficient is negative and the degree is odd, the graph
falls to the right and rises to the left;
3. If the leading coefficient is positive and the degree is even, the
graph rises to the right and to the left;
4. If the leading coefficient is negative and the degree is even, the
graph falls to right and to the left.

and mark X on the word
that corresponds to the
answer of each question.

d. The first to complete the

9 words, will be declared
champion, second place

4. PRESENTATION
This morning we are going
to study the behavior of the
graph of polynomial
functions by the aid of the
GeoGebra App.

B. ACTIVITY PROPER :

Activity 1: Case Study

Using the GEOGEBRA APP, have the student describe the graph of the following
polynomial functions.
