PROCEDURE TO LOAD .cpf FILE ON CURTIS CONTROLLER USING A LAPTOP

1) Connect Curtis 1309 USB dongle (1309 Dongle comes in 2 parts, part numbers for the
same are: MH40900379 and MH40900380) to controller and laptop.

2) Start 1314-4402 PC Programming Station (OEM) software.

3) Press connect icon which is at the top left on the software home screen.

4) Once software is connected to the controller, all other icons on the top bar become
active. Also system information is displayed. Below is a screen shot of the Home Screen
after successful connection.

5) Press the Open icon on the top panel.

6) Pop up screen opens up with options for selecting the appropriate .cpf file to be
loaded on to connected system.

7) When .cpf file is selected and opened, it opens up as a new tab in 1314 PC
Programming software. This tab can be seen next to the “Connected System” tab.

CAUTION: BEFORE PRESSING ICON TO START LOADING .cpf FILE, ENSURE THAT LAPTOP
IS CONNECTED TO THE CORRECT CONTROLLER.

8) Now, to start loading .cpf file on the system, press the icon next to “Save” icon. If the
mouse is kept over this button it shows the description “Save file to Connected system”

9) Once the icon is pressed, a new prompt is opened.

Press OK to go to next step. DO NOT SELECT THE “Advanced Cloning” CHECKBOX.

10) The process of saving the .cpf file to the system begins and the system prompts us to
switch the system OFF to proceed ahead. Turn key-switch OFF.

11) Once this is done, until the next prompt to power on the system is not encountered,
DO NOT SWITCH ON THE SYSTEM.

12) The following screen appears when the process is completed.

13) Close this screen. The system now has all the required parameters as per our
requirement. It is now ready for use.
