IDENTIFICATION.
Directions: Indicate which term of the internal parts of fish is being
mentioned . Identify each internal part one by one by writing the
correct term below.
1.It circulates blood throughout the body.
2.Hormone-secreting sexual gland of a fish.
3-4 These parts break down food and then absorb nutrients.
5.Filters liquid waste materials from the blood which are then
passed out in the body.
6.The control center of the fish where both automatic
functions and higher behaviors occur and all sensory
information is processed here.
7.Serves as a strange area for fats and carbohydrates and
assists digestion by secreting enzymes that break down fats.
8.Used by the fish to breathe oxygen inside the water.
9.Provide movement and location and these parts of fish are
composed of the filet of fish and which are usually eaten.
10. A hollow gas-filled balance organ that allows a fish to
conserve energy by maintaining neutral buoyancy in water.
11. Secrete enzymes that aid in digestion and also function to
absorb digested food or do both. It is a finger-like projection
located near the functions of the stomach and the intestine.
12. The part that connects the brain to the rest of the body and
relays sensory information from the body to the brain, as well
as instruction from the brain to the rest of the body.
13.Made up of numerous vertebrae which are hollow and which
protect the delicate spinal cord; it is the primary structural
framework upon which the fish’s body is built, that connects
the skull at the front of the fish and the tail at the near.
14. The location of the body of fish where the waste materials
pass-out.
15.One of the fish’s primary sense organs and detects
underwater vibration and is capable of determining the
direction of their source.
