Jessie Ripoll Primary School will not be able to select all who
apply.
Good day Parent/Guardian:

We want you to have a pleasant experience regarding the application process for the academic year
2024. Please ensure that you know our core values and are aware of our disciplinary policy. If this
policy is a good fit for you proceed to read and acquaint yourself with the application for the admission
process. The JRPS application process is a long run and not a sprint. You are therefore advised to
review the timeline and visit the website regularly for updates.

Ensure that you have all the information required at hand.

The online application process begins on Wednesday, March 6, 2024, at 9:00 am and will close on
Thursday, March 7, 2024, at 11:59 pm.

TIPS FOR FOR THE ONLINE APPLICATION FORM

• READ the application form thoroughly before attempting to fill it in. All fields must be
completed before you click on submit ( click on Section A and complete. Now click on Section
B and complete. Click on Section C and READ. NOW CLICK ON SUBMIT.

• APPLICATIONS will be accepted for the following Grades: 1, 3, 4, & 5. (Use the appropriate
portal)

GRADE 1 GRADES - 3, 4, 5
D.O.B for admission-January Transfer document required from the
2018-December 2018 Primary school if selected for admission

• Parents who make an application for either of the following grades (3, 4, 5 ) are advised that
admission is based on space availability, so the child will be required to do an entry test.
You will be advised of the date set for the test.

• Ensure that TRN/email addresses/telephone numbers are typed correctly. (The school will
not hold itself responsible for any incorrect information that is submitted by the
applicant.

• Upload the following documents:

1. A passport picture of your child. (This picture should not be older than three months)
(Gr. 1, 3,4,5)

2. Child’s Birth certificate (Gr. 1, 3,4,5)

3. Baptismal certificate/Christening paper (Gr. 1, 3,4,5)

4. A stamped immunization card or Certificate showing that your child is vaccinated


against: Measles. Mumps. Rubella. Diphtheria. Whooping Cough (Pertussis) (Page 14)

5. Recent Report card (Grades 3 to 5)


• READ through the completed form carefully.

• PRINT your document BEFORE YOU CLICK SUBMIT (Click on each section to
print-Section A, Section B, Section C)

• MAKE note of the link that is given to you after you click submit. This link will
provide access to your number which is very important. If you do not receive a
number, your online application DID not reach us. (Check your SPAM or JUNK mail
for the information).

• BRING YOUR PRINTED APPLICATION WITH YOU IF YOU ARE ASSIGNED AN


INTERVIEW DATE. Applicants who are Roman Catholics and are selected for an
interview will be required to submit a signed and stamped letter from the church (at
the interview)

• If your child is in (Grades 3, 4, 5) Bring your child’s NSRN and MOE email address)
Your child’s school should be able to assist you with these.

• Bring your child with you to the interview. Prepare your child for this event.
Make your child learn about the name of the school, his/her telephone number,
country name, the national anthem of the country etc.

• Take along a pencil for the child and a BLACK INK pen for you. Bring your Government
issued ID.

• If you do not see your number in the listing on the website on any of the interview
dates, it means you have not been shortlisted for an interview. Each number that is
selected for an interview will be placed on the school’s website by Tuesday, March 19,
2024. Interview dates are scheduled for March 20, 2024 and March 21, 2024 (Subject
to change )

TIPS FOR THE APPLICATION PROCESS

• DON’T use the application form when it has the red banner. You will not be able to submit
it.

• DON’T send your application form as an email attachment. It will be discarded.

• Screenshots of applications will not be accepted.

• MULTIPLE APPLICATIONS for the same child will be DELETED.

• THE SYSTEM WILL ONLY ACCOMMODATE APPLICATIONS ON the specified dates

⚫ Applicants are to be contacted by email, the email will be sent to all email addresses that the
applicant PLACED ON THE APPLICATION FORM.

APPLICATION/ADMISSIONS OFFICE

24-41) The minimum age for admission as a student of a public educational institution shall be as follows-
(a) pre-primary school - four years;

(b) primary or all-age school- six years;

(c) secondary school - eleven years;

(6) technical school- thirteen years;

(e) vocational school- fifteen years;

Cf) agricultural vocational school- fifteen years.

For the purposes of this regulation a student shall be regarded as having attained the requisite age in any year if he will attain that age on or before the 31st December in that year. ( The
Education Regulations, 1980 )
